Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 494

**Freedom 494**
**Chapter 494**

Isabella stood there, a flicker of determination lighting up her face. She believed that perhaps Sophia had simply misheard her—maybe the words hadn’t quite registered. With a huff that was both defiant and proud, she tilted her chin upward, a gesture that spoke volumes about her resolve.

“I said that last month, for my mom’s birthday, my dad gave her a diamond that was enormous! But it was red, not like this one,” she exclaimed, her voice a mixture of excitement and indignation.

Sophia’s eyes widened in disbelief, her mind racing to comprehend the implications of Isabella’s revelation. “H-how is that possible?!” she stammered, her thoughts a whirlpool of confusion and curiosity.

In a swift movement, she turned to Julia, her sister, seeking clarity. “Sis, what she means is—”

But Julia remained unflappable, her demeanor almost unnervingly calm. It was as if she had anticipated this moment, and her composed exterior belied the storm of thoughts that might have been brewing beneath the surface.

“Enough. Let’s not get caught up in this,” she interjected firmly, yet her tone softened as she directed her gaze back to Isabella. “Since you’re not enjoying yourself here, how about we find somewhere else to go?”

A wave of relief washed over Isabella at Julia’s words; it felt as though her sister was standing up for her, and she nodded enthusiastically. “Okay!” she replied, her spirits lifting.

Taking Isabella’s hand in hers, Julia began to lead her away. But before they exited, she cast a quick glance back at Sophia, her voice low yet resolute: “Don’t mention this to the family.”

With that, they stepped outside, Julia’s grip reassuring as they walked away together.

Sophia stood frozen, her mind racing. She had never anticipated such a calm response from Julia. It left her feeling even more bewildered. To her, Julia was sharp and perceptive; there was no way she could have missed the implications of Isabella’s words. The diamond that Maggie had received could very well be the same one that they all believed Franklin had purchased for Julia’s proposal.

Or perhaps… Franklin had procured another diamond entirely?

That thought only added to her confusion.

And Julia’s insistence on keeping this a secret from the family gnawed at her.

Questions swirled in Sophia’s mind, but she had always trusted Julia implicitly. So, despite her bewilderment, she found herself following along, dazed and uncertain.

In the days that followed, Maggie became a whirlwind, darting between the hospital and her workplace with a sense of urgency.
