Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 498

Janice and Old Mrs. Green had no idea that Franklin was no longer treating Maggle the way he used to.

So when they learned Franklin hadn’t left Maggie’s room even after such a long time, they were surprised, but the feeling quickly passed,

After all, they’d heard before that although Franklin and Maggie had been married for years, they had rarely shared a bed.

Franklin had no interest in her.

So now, even if he stayed in Maggie’s room longer than expected, they didn’t think anything would happen between them.

And besides, given how deep Franklin’s feelings for Julla supposedly were, even if something did happen between him and Maggie, Maggie’s existence could never shake Franklin’s love for Julia.

Since they believed this, there was nothing for them to worry about.

Chad’s opinion clearly matched theirs, so the Green family didn’t press him for details about Franklin or Julia.

The next day.

Maggie woke up and saw the messages Johnny had sent her. Only then did she realize what had happened last night.

She sat at the edge of the bed and tried to recall, but everything Johnny mentioned was a complete blank in her memory.

Still, she noticed her body was clean, her makeup had been removed, and she was wearing comfortable sleepwear.

She replied to Johnny.

Johnny, already awake, immediately called her.

How do you feel? Is your head hurting?

Maggie rubbed her temples. A little. Nothing I can’t handle.

That’s good.He paused, then complained with a snort, What the hell is Franklin doing? Even if he wasn’t around, Cole has plenty of people to take care of you. Why did he have to interfere? Do you know that because of his stunt, some people almost thought I made some shady deal

with him involving you?!

Maggie hadn’t overthought the situation. She responded calmly, I’m Isabella’s mother. He was probably worried something would happen to me. He’s just making sure I’m safe, for Isabella’s sake.

Johnny agreed that this was likely the reason.

He let out a cold snort and chatted with Maggie for a bit longer before hanging up.

The teambuilding event lasted until Sunday afternoon.

Maggie didn’t see Franklin at all these two days.

But as the event ended and she walked out of the hotel, she ran into the Green and Brown families.

They barely acknowledged her. As if she didn’t exist, they turned away.

Sophia, however, couldn’t help herself, she shot Maggie a vicious glare before getting into the car.

Maggie didn’t react. She simply walked to her own car and left.

Not long after she reached home, her phone rang.

It was Nolan.

During their last meeting, Nolan had told her the base would need her sometime this month. Maggie had spent the past couple of weeks waiting

for news.

Now, just as her divorce coolingoff period with Franklin was about to end, the call finally came.
