Chapter 524
Maggie knew exactly why Jimmy had come to see her.
She’d already said everything that needed to be said before.
But with the way Jimmy was acting now…
She paused, looked at him seriously, and said,
“Sorry, but I probably won’t be considering any new relationship for quite a long time. So, Mr. Hall, in the future you-”
She didn’t want to waste his time.
Jimmy understood perfectly what she meant. Before she could even finish, he said,
“I get it. But really, you don’t have to worry about me.”
He then gently placed the flowers into her arms.
“I hope you like them.”
Seeing her still standing there frozen, he gave a small smile.
“Go on up. You must be busy. I won’t bother you anymore.”
Maggie looked down at the flowers in her hands. She hesitated for a moment, then finally shook her head and handed them back.
“Thank you… but I’m sorry.”
She didn’t say anything else. She turned and headed upstairs.
Jimmy didn’t get angry.
He watched her leave, standing there until her figure completely disappeared from sight. Only then did he turn around to leave-.
and that was when he noticed Glen not far away.
Their eyes briefly met. Jimmy nodded politely without saying a word, then got in his car.
Glen didn’t speak either.
He had heard every word Maggie said just now.
Jimmy hadn’t argued or insisted after being rejected again, but Glen could tell-
Jimmy wasn’t going to give up.
And if Maggie truly divorced, he would definitely move quickly.
Glen had always known Maggie had been married before, and that she had a child. But he never really understood the emotional scars behind it.
Yet, hearing the way she turned Jimmy down just now, he suddenly understood.

Chapter 524
Maggie must have been deeply hurt in that marriage she was trying to end.
Jimmy had probably realized that too. That was why he chose to back off today…
After working in her office for a while, Maggie headed to Wilson Group.
Close to noon, while Maggie was still busy there, Julia showed up at Wilson Group again.
This time Chad happened to still be in the office. When he saw Julia, he paused slightly.
“Miss Brown. Are you here to see Mr. Wilson?”
Julia brushed her hair back and smiled politely.
“Yes. Franklin… isn’t here?”
Chad nodded.
“Mr. Wilson went out early this morning with Mr. Jiang for a business meeting.”
Julia’s smile wavered slightly, a hint of awkwardness flickering across her expression.
“I see. Thank you. I’ll come by another time when he’s free.”
Just from the fact that Julia didn’t even know Franklin’s schedule, Chad could already tell-
Whatever issues existed between Franklin and Julia…
were worse than he’d originally imagined.
But there was nothing he could do.
Still…
Watching her lower her gaze and prepare to leave, he hesitated, then couldn’t help saying,
“If there’s anything you think I can help with… please feel free to tell me.”
Julia gave a gentle smile.
“Thank you, Chad. If I need help, I’ll ask.”
With that, she finally turned to leave.
As she headed downstairs, she happened to run into Maggie and the others coming up.
