Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 544

Maggie and Franklin walked out together, and as Franklin reached the car with her, he spoke up. Do you have time Monday morning?

Maggie was about to say yes when Franklin continued, Isabella’s school is having a parent teacher mesting, and they require both parents to attend..

Maggie paused for a moment. Okay. After a brief silence, she added, I can take the afternoon off too.

I have to go to Chicago at 1 PM.

Maggie frowned. Can’t you change the time?

Franklin: Sorry.

Maggie pressed her lips together and said nothing as she got into the car.

Franklin looked at her. Drive safe-

Before he could finish, Maggie slammed the car door shut with a thudand quickly sped off.

Franklin watched her drive away, a faint smile playing on his lips as he turned and walked back inside.

It was getting late, and Old Mrs. Franklin had already retired for the night. Stella and Maria were still in the living room.

Franklin nodded at them and said he needed to return a call before heading upstairs.

Stella watched Franklin’s retreating figure, as if she wanted to call out to him but ultimately didn’t say anything.

Maria asked, What’s wrong?

Stella shook her head and stayed silent.

If Franklin and Maggie were getting divorced to marry Julia, she honestly preferred he didn’t get divorced at all.

After all, compared to Julia, Maggie came from a respectable family. While Maggie had used some questionable methods to be with Franklin in the past, she still liked Maggie better than Julia.

But Stella knew that even if she tried to talk him out of it, Franklin wouldn’t listen.

Whatever he decided to do now, no one in the family, not even her husband Felix, could stop him.

Maria, noticing Stella’s troubled expression, finally understood what was bothering her.

She said, From a man’s perspective, I can understand why Franklin would choose Julia.

As women, they both agreed that Julia was indeed very charming. And when it came to men

Stella massaged her forehead, still silent.

She and Franklin weren’t particularly close, but she subconsciously felt Franklin was the kind of person who would have a hard time truly loving

someone.

Julia didn’t seem like his type, either.

But Franklin’s feelings and attitude toward Julia were beyond what Stella had expected from him.
