Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 550

Chapter 550

Levi was genuinely shocked. What? You’re not getting divorced for now? Why?

Before Franklin could answer, something clicked. Because of Isabella?

He asked because he knew Isabella had been especially attached to Maggie lately.

Yeah,Franklin replied.

Levi suddenly thought of something else. Maggie agreed to it too?

Yes.

Levi smacked his lips. Really? I honestly thought she wouldn’t. Back when you first started talking about divorce, she gave up Isabella’s custody without a second thought. And now she’s doing pretty damn well with Johnny. From what I hear, she had dinner at the Hardin family’s place last night with Johnny and Nolan. The Hardins and even Jordan really like her.

Franklin raised an eyebrow slightly when he heard that. Oh? Do they?

Yeah. I heard it from people at home.

Franklin smiled faintly and did not ask any further questions.

Later that day, when Levi contacted Harry, he also mentioned that Franklin and Maggie had decided to postpone their divorce for Isabella’s sake.

Harry froze. Postponethe divorce?

Yeah,Levi sighed. I get doing it for the kid, but honestly, I don’t think it really means much.

Even if they don’t divorce, they’re still seeing other people. Franklin probably won’t make Julia wait that long anyway. Sooner or later, he’ll still marry her. Besides, doesn’t Isabella actually like Julia? I feel like Franklin should just talk to Isabella more. Maybe she’d understand.

What did Franklin say?Harry asked.

He had something to take care of, so we didn’t talk much. But him deciding not to divorce Maggie for now was probably out of necessity. Isabella’s really attached to Maggie these days. She’s basically inseparable from her. He’s probably afraid that if he brings it up, Isabella won’t be able to handle it.

Harry fell silent for a moment. Yeah

That afternoon, after finishing her work at Wilson Group, Maggie went out to eat with Mr. Claremont and the others.

When they arrived at the restaurant, they happened to run into Logan and Lauren.

Because of Julia, Mr. Claremont and his group were familiar with Logan, so they politely greeted Logan and Lauren.

Logan and Lauren smiled, shook hands with them, and exchanged a few pleasantries. Then their gazes shifted to Maggie, who was standing nearby.

Logan was fine, but Lauren’s expression darkened almost instinctively.

Mr. Claremont paused, debating whether to introduce Maggie. But seeing Logan and Lauren already looking her way, he hesitated.

Mr. Claremont and the others were all sharp people. They assumed Logan and Lauren knew that Franklin seemed interested in Maggie, and that Maggie’s presence had affected Franklin and Julia’s relationship. That was probably why the siblings did not look too pleased with her.

With that in mind, they gave an awkward smile and dropped the idea of introductions. After exchanging a few more polite words, both groups headed into their respective private rooms.

From start to finish, Maggie never once looked directly at Logan or Lauren. Her expression remained cool and distant.
