Chapter 558
Chapter 558
He was planning to get back together with Maggie?
If that was the case, then why hadn’t he brought up breaking up with her?
Or was he giving her the cold shoulder because he wanted her to be the one to end things?
Then again, maybe he wasn’t bringing up the breakup because deep down he still had feelings for her. Maybe it was just that Maggie had become more important to him now?
When the Greens and the Browns found out that Franklin and Maggie not only hadn’t gone through with the divorce, but had decided to postpone it for Isabella’s sake, none of them looked too pleased.
Learning that Franklin wanted to reconcile with Maggie but still hadn’t broken up with Julia, Janice and the others figured he must still have feelings for Julia too.
Old Mrs. Green spoke up. “Julia, since Franklin still cares about you, you need to make your move.”
Tracy quickly chimed in. “Exactly! Since Franklin has feelings for you, if you two accidentally ended up with a child, Franklin would definitely forget about Maggie and marry you instead.”
Sophia thought this made perfect sense and eagerly agreed. “Right!”
Julia’s eyelashes trembled slightly.
Well…
That actually wasn’t a bad plan.
The next day, around noon, Julia went to Wilson Group again.
This time, at least, she didn’t strike out.
Seeing her, Franklin paused. “What brings you here?”
Julia smiled graciously. “Thought I’d come have lunch with you.”
Franklin looked at her, stayed silent for a second, then looked away and nodded. “Alright, but you’ll have to wait while I finish what I’m working
on.”
“Sure.”
Franklin went back to work while Julia sat by the coffee table, sipping tea and waiting for him.
Watching Franklin’s profile as he focused intently on his work, remembering how he’d wanted to refuse her lunch invitation but ultimately gave in reluctantly, she knew Franklin still had feelings for her.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have agreed.
After Franklin finished his work, they left Wilson Group together to eat.
During the meal, Julia brought up Wilson Tech and the Brown family’s tech company, even chatted about the fun she and Isabella had had the other day, but she never once asked Franklin how he felt about their relationship now.

She didn’t bring it up, and neither did Franklin.
This only confirmed Julia’s belief that even though Franklin had developed feelings for Maggie, he still couldn’t let her go.
However, even though Franklin hadn’t mentioned breaking up, after they finished lunch, he still made an excuse to leave.
After Franklin left, Julia headed back to the office.
Seeing her return so early, Sophia and the others looked a bit disappointed.
Sophia sighed. “Sis, how come you’re back so soon? I thought…”
She’d thought something would happen between Julia and Franklin today, that Julia would get pregnant, and then everything would fall into place naturally.
Julia said calmly, “These things take time.”
