Every time she remembered that Lillian had served him that meal, the rage hit her again.

How deep did that Omega’s hatred for the Graves Pack run? Even if she hated all of them, Julian had always protected her.

Iris said quietly, “Eleanor, when Ethan wakes up, he’s going to blame us. Maybe we should just let Lillian go.”

At this point, none of them knew Lillian had never made it to jail–that she’d been intercepted halfway. Iris was still performing, still playing her part.

Hilda was just as furious. Her accounts were still frozen because of everything Lillian had stirred up. That troublemaker should’ve been kicked out of the pack ages ago.

This time, they didn’t just want Lillian to pay. They wanted her gone for good.

ris tried again. “But Ethan-”

Iris, you’re too kind. That’s why she’s been able to walk all over you.”

filda cut her off before she could finish.

ris kept her troubled expression, ready to say more, but the doctor came out then. Julian was awake.

They all filed into the room.

Whatever poison it had been, Julian looked pale. Weak. Sitting there on the hospital bed, drained of color.

Eleanor burst into tears at the sight.

Her Alpha son had always been strong–healthy since birth. Now an Omega had reduced him to this.

“You scared me to death! What kind of Omega did you bond with? She tried to kill you! And you still protect her?”

If they’d been harsh with Lillian before, fine. They admitted that. But Julian had always been good to her. How could she poison her own Alpha?

Iris jumped in before Hilda could respond.

Hilda said, “She tried to kill you, Julian. After everything you’ve done for her. Wake up–she doesn’t love you. She never did.”

Not just undeserving. She’d never loved him at all.

Eleanor nodded firmly. “Julian, she needs to learn a lesson. You’ve spoiled her for years.
