Eleanor said, “Don’t say I didn’t tell you. Right now is the perfect timing for you to make your move on Finn. You need to lock him down before Lillian gets out.”

That phrase “perfect timing“-only made Hilda’s expression darken further.

Who knew what kind of tricks Lillian had used to get Finn to help her, over and over again?

She was a bonded Omega who’d already lost two pups for Julian.

With a body like that, how could Finn possibly be interested?

But remembering how Finn had consistently backed Lillian up whenever they were in public, Hilda couldn’t help asking, “So you think Finn’s probably doing everything he can right now to get her out?”

That was what worried Hilda most.

Eleanor replied, “Exactly why you need to work on turning him against her while you have the chance. She’s not here–you can say whatever you want about how awful she is, right?”

Hilda pressed her lips together.

Eleanor continued, “If you can actually manage to change how Finn sees her, that’d be a real win for you.”

Hilda really didn’t want to copy Lillian’s playbook.

But Eleanor kept hammering home that Lillian’s absence was her golden opportunity.

She was starting to cave.

Eleanor had the kitchen put together a lunch for Finn–made sure they used dishes he actually liked, packed everything up nicely, and sent Hilda off to his company.

Right before she left, Eleanor gave her one last piece of advice, voice heavy with meaning. “Remember what Iris said. Alphas all like gentle females. Got it?”

Hilda actually agreed with Iris on that one.

She nodded. “I know.”

Honestly, wasn’t her bad temper all Lillian’s fault?

Ever since that Omega set foot in the Graves Pack, Hilda hadn’t been able to keep her cool.

That Omega had driven her to this constant state of irritation.

Hilda clutched her insulated lunch bag and swept into the lobby, heading straight for the reception desk.

The receptionist spotted her and approached with a polished smile. “Hello. Who are you here to see?”
