Chapter 185 Confrontation at the Office
Third–Person POV:
Iris fell silent, her gaze shifting from Hilda to Eleanor’s expression.
The look on Eleanor’s face said it all–Julian had most likely stepped in to shield Lillian once again.
It had been this way for the past six months.
No matter what trouble came Lillian’s way, Julian never hesitated to protect her.
But this time was different… wasn’t it?
Her own daughter was gone. Eleanor had taken a hard hit too.
Seeing Eleanor’s silence, Hilda put two and two together and her anger boiled over. “Has Julian lost his mind too?
“Protecting her all this time was one thing, but he’s still covering for her now?”
This wasn’t like the past.

Hilda was seething, her voice rising with every word. “It ends now. The mating bond has to be severed this time. And on top of that, that woman belongs behind bars.”
A pup had died–this was huge.
She refused to believe Lillian could walk away clean from this like before. Not even Finn could shield her now, could he?
The mere thought of Finn standing up for Lillian made Hilda’s blood boil even hotter.
Right on cue, Iris burst into tears. “My poor girl… Oh, my baby-”
She clutched a cushion and wept into it.
A mother who had lost her child, teetering on the edge of collapse–she looked utterly heartbroken.
Watching Iris cry only strengthened Hilda and Eleanor’s resolve to see Lillian locked up.
Eleanor shut her eyes briefly. “Even if she goes to prison, she severs the bond with Julian first.”
Hilda nodded firmly. “Exactly. The Graves Pack’s reputation can’t handle any more of her disgraceful behavior.”
Just thinking about everything Lillian had pulled lately–it was all one embarrassment after another for the pack.
Since it wasn’t her own name being dragged through the mud, she clearly couldn’t care less.
Iris continued to sob softly.
Her crying only cemented the two older women’s determination to force Lillian to break the bond and face time in prison.
Finally, fueled by outrage, they headed straight to confront Julian at his office.

Once everyone had left, Edith slipped into the room. “Miss.”
“Make sure our people are completely clear of this,” Iris said, her voice low and sharp.

She had set a major scheme in motion this time–even sacrificing her own fragile daughter. There was no way she was letting Lillian remain in the Graves Pack.
Sure, her daughter had never been strong to begin with.
But since she was gone, her death had to mean something.
Edith gave a firm nod. “Don’t worry. Everyone’s been instructed. The authorities won’t find a trace.”
That put Iris slightly at ease.
“Good,” she replied coolly.
Lillian…
This time, she had to get out of the Graves Pack for good. Preferably spending the rest of her life in a cell.
If she kept clinging to Julian, Iris would have no choice but to eliminate her for good.
The Bagon City development was turning into a massive headache.
Julian had been holed up in the conference room since he arrived and still hadn’t emerged. The Nirvana Project alone had cost him dearly.
And there was more trouble brewing.
Finn was now moving to pull his investments from every joint venture he had with Graves Group.
These projects were already well underway. If Finn withdrew all his funding now, it would blow a huge hole in the Graves Group’s finances.
Julian was under immense pressure–and furious.
When Eleanor and Hilda showed up at the corporate office, Julian was still tied up inside, but Eleanor was in no mood to wait.
In a heated rush, she decided to walk right into the conference room.
But Wendy from the executive office stopped her politely yet firmly. “Luna Eleanor, I’m afraid you can’t go in right now.“”
Eleanor stood her ground. “This is urgent.”
“So is what the Alpha is handling,” Wendy replied respectfully, but she didn’t budge.
After all the drama over the past six months, everyone in the company knew Lillian and the Graves Pack elders were constantly at
odds.
Whenever Lillian showed up to see Julian, it usually meant some clash with the family.
And when an elder appeared unannounced? It almost always meant they were here to push for the bond to be broken.

It had given everyone in the office a clear lesson: a successful Alpha didn’t need reasonable relatives–he needed fewer obstacles.
Thanks to Julian’s ongoing personal turmoil, morale in the executive office had hit rock bottom.
