When Paul heard that Julian had forced his way inside, his brow furrowed. “When did he arrive?”
“Just five minutes ago.”
Paul fell silent.
No wonder no one had managed to alert him. There simply hadn’t been time.
With Julian barging in like a wrecking ball, the admin team probably didn’t know how to react.
Paul quickly caught up to Finn.
As they walked, he reported, “Alpha Julian is already in your office.”
Finn halted at once, his entire demeanor turning icy.
“Would you prefer to avoid him for now?” Paul suggested. “I can try to get Alpha Julian to leave first.”
Lately, every time Julian showed up to see Finn, it ended badly.
Paul was worried they’d come to blows again.
In Paul’s eyes, Julian had become little more than a rabid dog–he’d made a total mess of his own mating bond, and now he was snarling at everyone.
Acting as though Lillian’s desire to break the bond was someone else’s fault.
The
guy ought to take a hard look at what he’d been doing these past six months.
Screwing around with his own brother’s mate, then getting furious when Lillian called him out -what kind of twisted logic was that?
“No need,” Finn spat out, his voice cold.
“But-” Paul began, only to be cut off as Finn strode toward the oflice, already pulling off his overcoat and tossing it to Paul.

Paul caught it smoothly.
Next came Finn’s suit jacket, then his tic…
:
Even with rough, hurried movements, Finn carried it off with a detached elegance.
The entire admin team stared, transfixed.
Was Finn really about to throw down with Julian? Then again, even a handsome man preparing for a fight somehow looked good doing it.

Finally, Finn ripped off his tie and flung it backward–it landed squarely in Thomas‘ hands.
The next moment, he pushed into the office.
Paul moved to follow, but the door slammed shut in his face.
He stood there, speechless.
One brave soul from the admin team crept up and whispered, “Paul… is Alpha Finn going to fight Alpha Julian?”
Paul shot them a sidelong glance. “Don’t you have work to do?”
The employee shrank back.
Paul pressed his ear to the door, listening intently for any sound of a scuffle. He was seriously concerned Finn might come out worse against Julian–and that was no small worry. Everyone knew how formidable Julian was in a fight.
If they really went at it, the office would likely be trashed.
Inside the office, Julian was already on his feet when Finn entered. His stomach still ached, leaving his face pale, but the moment he saw Finn, his expression darkened further.
Finn walked in, calmly unbuttoning his cuffs.
Julian watched him warily, unsure what to expect…
Just as he thought Finn would head for the sofa opposite, Finn pivoted and drove a fist straight into Julian’s face.
The crack of impact echoed through the room.

Julian’s vision whited out.
For a second, it felt like Finn’s punch had rattled his brain loose.
But only for a second. Then fury erupted. “Finn!”

After taking that solid hit, Julian surged up, ready to brawl–but before he could lunge, Paul burst in from outside and locked his arms around Julian from behind.
“Alpha Julian, please–calm down. Let’s talk this through. There’s no need for fighting…”
Julian had just been sucker–punched.
He hadn’t laid a finger on Finn yet, and here was Finn’s assistant telling him to calm down. Julian felt his lungs might burst from rage.
Who the hell needed to calm down here?
Finn walks in, throws a punch without a word, and he’s the one who should stay calm?
“Get off me!” Julian roared.
“Just breathe, Alpha. You really need to steady yourself,” Paul urged, still holding him back.
With Paul restraining him, Finn landed another hard blow.
Julian seethed.
Paul winced.
The atmosphere in the room turned surreal.
Julian struggled wildly, but Paul clung like glue–all while continuing to protest, “No fighting, Alpha Julian!”
“Who’s fighting?! Let me go, damn it!”
After taking two consecutive punches, Julian was boiling with the urge to kill Finn.
Steal his mate, then beat him down…
