The implication sent a furious heat rushing to Hilda’s head. “It has to be that bitch, Lillian. I’ll tear her apart!”
For a moment, Hilda truly lost control.
Bayside Heights was one thing–after all, her mother had taken that estate from Lillian fair and square. But Golden Gardens… what gave Lillian the right to burn it down? What did that place ever do to her?
Blind with rage, Hilda headed for the door and called back to Iris, “Have Mom take you out for lunch!”
Neither of them knew yet that Eleanor had already left the mansion–driven out by news of the fires.
By the time Hilda rushed downstairs, Eleanor was long gone.
All she saw was Lillian sitting calmly at the dining table, eating as if nothing had happened. Hilda stormed toward her, hand raised ready to strike.
“Lillian, you vicious witch. You did this, didn’t you? Have you completely lost your mind?
“Burning down properties left and right–you’re nothing but a monster, you know that?”
Hilda was seething.
Golden Gardens was a place she loved. Even if she sold it, it would have fetched a fortune. Those were her assets, her investments, and now Lillian had gone and destroyed them.
She lunged at Lillian, but these days, no one in the entire Graves Pack could lay a finger on her. Before Hilda could get close, two servants intercepted her, gripping her arms tightly.
The staff Lillian had brought with her all seemed unnaturally strong.
With just one holding her, Hilda couldn’t move let alone two.
Trapped and unable to vent her fury physically, she started shrieking like someone possessed.
“How can you do something like this? Aren’t you afraid of being cursed? Don’t you believe in

karma?”
“Curses? Karma?” Lillian smiled coolly. “Sure, I believe in them. But right now…”
She let the words hang.

If someone warned that retribution would come someday–yes, she believed that too. In fact, at this very moment, she was the living curse upon the Graves Pack.
Just then, Hilda’s phone rang again.
Like Eleanor, the more calls she took, the harder it became to hide her boiling anger.
In the end, she didn’t have time to settle the score with Lillian. She turned and rushed out the door, leaving the room in heavy silence.
George watched Lillian’s ruthless moves one after another, wondering why she held such deep hatred for everyone in the Graves Pack.
Still, he felt compelled to remind her, “Miss, Alpha Edmund has requested your return to the Western Continent soon. Your priority now should be breaking the bond with Julian.”
“Don’t worry. It won’t delay things,” Lillian replied, popping a slice of apple into her mouth.
She chuckled softly. “As for severing the bond–that won’t be a problem for me at all.”
George fell silent.
Hearing her say that, he understood.
With the way she was tearing the Graves Pack apart, every member probably wanted her gone yesterday.
And by now, Julian had surely heard the news.
Not long after, Chloe called.
Lillian answered, “Chloe.”
“I just heard about several fires today. Looked into it–all the properties were under the names of Hilda, Eleanor, and Iris.”
“I did it.”
Chloe was speechless.
Seriously? This…!

She’d known that when Lillian returned to the Graves Pack this time, she’d turn everything upside down. But she’d assumed Lillian would just make their lives miserable inside the pack
house.
This was different–Lillian was systematically destroying everything the Graves family owned. Completely.
“They love taking what isn’t theirs,” Lillian said calmly. “But stolen things don’t truly belong to you, do they?”
Chloe had no reply.
True enough.
If you took something that wasn’t yours and started acting like it was, you were just fooling yourself.
“So they didn’t just collapse from rage?”
“Two of them already stormed out. There’s still one upstairs.”
Hilda and Eleanor had left.
Iris was still holding out upstairs–probably hadn’t gotten the news yet.
“So they still don’t know about your ties to the Langley Pack?” Chloe asked.
“No. They still think Finn’s the one protecting me.”
“Unbelievable,” Chloe muttered.
Graves Group was being crushed by Langley Group, losing fortunes, and they still hadn’t connected Lillian to the Langleys?
No wonder Lillian was grinding them into dust.
