A faint, knowing smile touched Lillian’s lips. “Seems she’s heard the news as well.”

George nodded, his voice low and steady. “Everything they ever took from you, miss–it’s all gone now.”
“Good.” Satisfaction gleamed in Lillian’s eyes.
And it wasn’t just what had been stolen from her
It was their own possessions too.
The old saying about going for wool and coming back shorn–it was unfolding perfectly among the Graves Pack.
But even this wasn’t enough.
The wealth that land had once generated for the Graves Pack far exceeded what had been lost today.
Just as Lillian had anticipated.
Julian was still locked in a tense meeting with the pack’s senior elders when Eleanor’s calls started flooding in, one after another.
The elders were already furious over Langley Group situation, so Julian had left his phone outside.
Each time it rang, Thomas answered respectfully. “Luna Eleanor.”
“Put Julian on. Now.”
Even through the receiver, Thomas could feel the tremor of rage in her voice.
“My apologies, Luna Eleanor. The Alpha is in council. He cannot be disturbed.”
“What council? I’m losing my mind here! If he doesn’t get back here now and throw that witch out, I swear I’ll-”
Thomas held back a sigh. The hysterics ringing in his ear were giving him a headache.
Julian had been clear: no interruptions, no exceptions.

“Then you tell him,” Eleanor’s voice sharpened, they’re gone. Every last one burned to ashes.”
“Burned to ashes?”
The phrase sent a cold jolt through Thomas.
He thought of the Inkwood Gardens fire days earlier, and the blaze at Margaret’s bayfront
estate.
Now Eleanor was talking about fire, too.
Was this… Lillian’s doing?
“Spring Manor, Jade Heights, Hilda’s Bayside Heights and Golden Gardens–all of them, gone. Reduced to nothing.”
Those were prime properties–luxury villas she’d been planning to sell at peak market value.
And now Lillian had destroyed them all.
“And Iris…”
He didn’t quite catch what happened to Iris–only that she’d gone out earlier.
Lillian was playing for keeps.
“You tell him that woman came back for revenge. She won’t stop until she’s ruined every one of us. After all this, does he still want her?”
Eleanor was screaming now, raw and unhinged.
She truly hadn’t seen this coming–hadn’t believed Lillian could be this vicious.
The woman had been back at Graves Estate barely a day, and already she was tearing them
apart.
Especially where it hurt most: their assets, their holdings, their wealth–all going up in
smoke.
Right now, Eleanor wanted her dead.
When Thomas heard the full scale of the destruction, he knew he couldn’t wait. Phone in hand, he pushed into the council room.
The atmosphere inside was thick with tension. The elders‘ faces were grim.

Julian’s gaze darkened at the intrusion. “I said no interruptions.”

Thomas‘ own expression was grave. Under Julian’s icy stare, he forced himself forward.
He intended to hand over the phone, but remembering Eleanor’s hysterics, he instead leaned close and relayed the news in a hushed summary.
Julian’s mood had already been foul. As Thomas spoke, his features tightened further.
He stared at his beta, breathing hard. “She did all of this?”
There was no need to specify who “she” was.
Thomas gave a slight nod. “With so many incidents at once… it has to be her.”
In that moment, Julian felt the same wave of fury that had nearly overwhelmed Eleanor.
His vision swam darkly.
This woman…
So she really had returned for revenge. Was the past with the Graves Pack so bitter that she’d go this far?
