Chapter 249 No Escape Route
Third–Person POV:
“I want her dead. I want her dead!” Eleanor had completely lost it.
Laurel Manor was gone too.
Iris looked at her and asked, “So what am I supposed to do now?”

The moment the words left her mouth, both Hilda and Eleanor turned to stare. Just minutes ago, they’d promised her Laurel Manor
Hearing Iris ask that now, Eleanor seethed inside.
“What are you supposed to do? Is that really the question to ask right now?”
Laurel Manor was gone. Every property the Graves Pack owned was gone. What could she do?
Eleanor said coldly, “I wanted to give you a proper place to recover, but as you can see, that’s impossible now. There’s nothing I can do.”
Iris fell silent. Hearing Eleanor say “nothing I can do” made her composure crack.

Lillian was resting in bed when Chloe called.
“Damn, girl. I never knew you had this kind of chaos in you,” Chloe said over the phone, sounding genuinely impressed.
Lillian replied quietly, “Can we not bring up the past?”
“Sure, but back then you didn’t have anyone backing you up. You had to hold back. Now you don’t,” Chloe pointed out.
It was true. You shouldn’t push an Omega too far not unless you were absolutely certain she’d never be able to fight back.
Because once she turned the tables and decided to flip the board, nobody was going to walk away unscathed.
And wasn’t that exactly what Lillian was doing?
The moment she decided to strike back, the entire Graves Pack was thrown into chaos.

Chloe continued, “And this is only day one? They’re already falling apart?”
Lillian’s voice was calm. “Julian has already asked to break the mating bond.”

“Ha! He asked to break it on day one? Good. Don’t let him. Drive him crazy. Make him sweat. Drag it out,” Chloe said with a dark chuckle.
Wasn’t Julian the one who had refused to end it before? Back when Lillian wanted out, he’d stubbornly held on no matter what.
Now look at him.
Now Lillian was the one unwilling to sever the bond.
“He deserves to pay for how he acted back then,” Chloe said firmly.
Lillian’s tone turned icy. “The whole Graves Pack is going to pay.”
“Yeah, they will. And this is just the beginning,” Chloe agreed.
She hated the Graves Pack as much as Lillian did. How much trouble had Eleanor stirred up in the past? The only reason Lillian hadn’t been dragged down was because she’d refused to play their games.
But back then, aside from ignoring Eleanor, there hadn’t been much else Lillian could do.
Like she’d said herself–she had no support. Other than enduring, what choice did she have?
Now things were different.
Now she was the one flipping the board.
Chloe added, “Don’t you dare break that mating bond with Julian until this is completely over.”
Right now, Lillian’s marriage to Julian was like a thorn lodged deep in the Graves Pack’s side.
“I know,” Lillian answered.
Chloe then asked, “Any new leads on what really happened to the pup?”
Lillian’s voice went flat. “What leads do I need? Iris killed the pup. That’s obvious.”
“Then send her to prison,” Chloe said bluntly.
Wasn’t, that what they’d wanted most? Iris had tried to frame Lillian for the pup’s death just to get her locked away.

Now Lillian would use that very same thing to put Iris behind bars.

Let her truly understand what it felt like to have the trap she’d set for someone else snap shut on herself.
Lillian replied, “Her turn will come. There’s no rush.”
“So what’s your plan, then?” Chloe pressed.
“Start with the one who killed my mother, obviously,” Lillian said, her voice low and steady.
Compared to that, Iris and the others were small fry.
Chloe nodded on the other end of the line. “Yeah, start with Eleanor. Isn’t she the one who acts like she’s the Luna of the Graves Pack? Thinks she’s the lady of the manor, the most respected woman in Gilneas City. So start with her.”
Whatever Lillian did, Chloe was one hundred percent behind her.
Before, she’d supported Lillian breaking the mating bond with Julian and cutting all ties with the Graves Pack.
Now, she supported Lillian holding onto that bond–using it like a needle to stab the Graves Pack over and over again.
With the title of Luna to Julian, the current Alpha of the Graves Pack, it was only fitting for her to remain in the pack estate.
“You’ve stirred up this much trouble. Catherine, the former Luna, and Julian’s father will probably come back soon, right?” Chloe wondered.
Julian’s father had been overseas lately. He claimed he was handling pack business, but who really knew what he was doing.
Just as Chloe mentioned him, Lillian realized she hadn’t heard anything about Henry Graves in a long time.
Even with all the chaos that had rocked the Graves Pack these past few days, his father had only shown up at the hospital once, exchanged a few brief words, and then left the country again.
As for Julian’s grandmother, Catherine–she remained as tough and domineering as ever. She knew exactly how badly things had deteriorated between Lillian and Julian, and yet she’d still tried to poison Lillian.
Lillian said, “Who knows? Eleanor always acts like she’s the most capable Luna the Graves Pack has ever had. For all we know, she hasn’t told Catherine or Henry anything about what’s

If Henry knew what was going on with the Graves Pack right now, he probably wouldn’t be this quiet.
It was too quiet.
Chloe asked, “If they do come back, will that be a problem for you?”
They both remembered the rumors about Henry from years back. The only reason Julian had been able to take over Graves Group so smoothly was because of Henry’s influence within the organization.
If Henry returned, Chloe worried Lillian might not be able to handle him.
But then again, Lillian now had the full backing of Langley Group behind her.
