Chapter 32 Breaking Point
Chapter 32 Breaking Point
Lillian’s POV:
Finn. That quiet man.

The strongest impression I had of him was probably the dangerous aura that seemed to cling to him. Especially his eyes–looking into them felt like being pulled into something dark and endless.
That Alpha was clearly not someone you wanted as an enemy. The last thing I needed was to piss off another dangerous man right after breaking things off with Julian.
“Then let me make this clear,” Julian said through gritted teeth. “This contract isn’t going anywhere. You’re coming home with me,
now.”
He reached for me, trying to pull me toward a car parked nearby.
But he barely got two steps before a large hand closed around his wrist. George.
And just like that, the tension in the air snapped…
Julian’s glare cut into George. The other man was tall, yeah, but that didn’t mean a thing when Julian’s Alpha presence started pressing down.
George didn’t back down. His eyes were hard, his voice carrying weight. “Let go of her.”
Julian looked at him, then at me.
I met his gaze without flinching.
“Home?” I said flatly. “The house in Hilda’s name? The accounts linked to the cards you gave me? All closed. All frozen.”
I let that sink in for a second.
“And you’re talking to me about home?”
The word was a joke between us. Always had been, maybe. I didn’t wait for a response. I turned and walked away with George.
Third–Person POV:
Julian stood there long after they left, the wind picking up and cutting through the evening air. It didn’t matter. He barely felt it.
Thomas stepped forward. “Alpha.”
Julian’s eyes stayed shut. “Haven’t I been good to her? All these years?”
Thomas said nothing.
Had Julian been good to her? Yeah. Probably. Every time he flew overseas for business, he brought her something back. Always had.
But now…

After a pause, Thomas said carefully, “Maybe… it’s about Iris. Maybe she just can’t let it go.”
Julian opened his eyes. “Can’t let it go. So she’s been making my life hell for six months. That’s what that was?”
He turned to Thomas. “You have someone on her?”
“Already done.” Thomas nodded.
The second Lillian left, he’d made sure they had eyes on her.
Julian’s jaw tightened. “Good. I want to know exactly where she’s hiding.”

His mind went back to that Draenei guy from earlier–the one built like a wall. He looked familiar. Julian was almost sure he’d seen him around Finn.
One of Finn’s people, then.
Finn sent someone to play bodyguard? What, did he think the Graves Pack was gonna tear her apart?
The thought that Finn might be connected to Lillian made something dark twist in Julian’s chest.
Lillian’s POV:
I was heading back to Creekwood Manor when my phone buzzed with an unknown number.
I picked up. “Hello?”
“It’s me.” Hilda’s voice cut through, sharp as ever.
I frowned. I’d never been able to stand Hilda. Her voice was grating on the best of days, and she always talked like she had something to prove. Especially now. That smug tone, like she finally had the upper hand.
I kept my voice cool. “What do you want?”
Hilda said, “Did you block my number?”
“So what if I did?”
There was no politeness in my voice anymore. There hadn’t been for months, actually, at least when it came to anyone in the Graves Pack.
Back when things were still okay between Julian and me, I let most of their crap slide. Didn’t seem worth the fight. But these past six months? If someone in that pack came at me sideways, I gave it right back.
Hilda let out a cold laugh. “Acting like you’re too good for Pack members now? We both know you’re nothing without the Graves
Pack.”
Blunt. Nasty. Exactly what I expected.
Before all this with Iris, Hilda had kept her hate on a shorter leash. Now she didn’t bother hiding it
I laughed, just as cold. “Without the Graves Pack, you’re nothing either. So I guess that makes two of us.”
Threw her own words right back at her.
