Chapter 41 Losing His Luna
Third–Person POV:
Eleanor wasn’t letting it go. “But… but it’s only when she sees your face that she calms down. You know that.”
He wasn’t a therapist, fine. But that face of his–identical to Ethan’s–worked better than any doctor ever could.
Julian shot back, “So what? I’m supposed to let her stare at me twenty–four seven? Until when?”
His voice was low, ice–cold. Eleanor went rigid.

Still, she pushed. “At least until the pups are older. Until she’s had real treatment. You saw her tonight–when she spirals, she genuinely doesn’t care if she lives or dies.”
Julian’s voice dropped even further. “Then let her not care. If she doesn’t want to live, who’s supposed to watch her forever?”
In that moment, he sounded like he had no heart at all.
Eleanor’s chest seized. “How can you say that? Those pups are your brother’s! How can you be so cruel?”
Julian let out a cold laugh. “My brother’s pups? Hire a hundred nannies to raise them. That’d be a hundred times better than a mother who might check out any second. Wouldn’t it?”
What good was a mother who was always one bad moment away from ending it all?
Eleanor shook with rage. “Y–you… saying things like that, do you actually want her dead?”
The elevator arrived.
Julian stepped inside, his presence dark and stormy.
Eleanor stood there, frozen, fury burning through her. But there was nothing she could do.
After leaving the hospital, Julian tried Lillian’s phone again and again. Nothing.
fe called Thomas.
Thomas picked up. “Alpha.”
‘Did she go back to 58 Galaxy Road?”
Julian was already driving toward the bridge where he’d left her. He knew she wouldn’t be waiting. But he couldn’t shake the mage–her standing there alone in the rain under that black umbrella.
Thomas hesitated. “Right after you left the bridge, Lillian got into Finn’s car.”
Julian went still.
Finn.

He slammed his fist against the steering wheel. Since when were they close enough for that?
“Where is she now?”
Thomas answered, “Finn took her straight to 58 Galaxy Road.”
Julian immediately changed direction.

Back at the hospital.
Not long after Julian left, a dozen bodyguards showed up. They stationed themselves outside the door. Two female guards posted up inside the room.
Now Iris couldn’t go anywhere. Couldn’t even get near the window.
Iris started spiraling again, crying out for Ethan between sobs.
Hilda was furious. “Julian sends all these people–is he trying to push her over the edge for real? Lillian’s fine, what’s his rush? Iris just gave birth, she’s the one who needs support right now!”
Thinking about that apology she’d been forced to send Lillian, Hilda felt a fresh wave of rage.
Eleanor was too angry to speak.
That worthless Lillian. A broke Omega with nothing to her name, and somehow she’d cast a spell on him.
Julian’s POV:
The moment I heard Finn had taken her to 58 Galaxy Road, I drove straight there.
But Lillian wasn’t there.
I called Finn immediately.
He picked up after two rings. “Middle of the night, first Iris has a breakdown, now you’re losing it too?”
The words hit like a punch.
Hearing that from my own best friend made my chest tighten.
I didn’t have time for this. “Where’s Lillian?”
Finn’s voice stayed flat. “She’s your Luna. Shouldn’t you be asking yourself that?”
That stole the air from my lungs.
My own Luna. And now every time she disappeared, I couldn’t find her. I had to ask other people–because they had better access
to her than I did.
I ground my teeth, forcing the rage down. “Thomas said you picked her up from the bridge.”
Finn fired back, “And why do you think I was the one who got that call?”
