Just as Hilda was about to say something more, Thomas‘ call came through–to Eleanor.
Seeing Thomas‘ name on the screen, Eleanor picked up with a huff. “Thomas!”
Thomas said, “Luna Eleanor, are you and Hilda at the hospital? I’ll bring the lawyer over right away.”
Hearing that he was bringing a lawyer, Eleanor snapped. “What for?”
“There are some documents that need your signatures.”
Eleanor shouted, “You tell Julian–don’t even think about it. If Lillian never wanted anything from the Graves Pack before, she’s not getting anything now.”
Without waiting for Thomas to respond, Eleanor hung up.
Eleanor roared, “I’m so angry I could scream!”
All that talk about not wanting anything—and now she’s in such a hurry to take it all back?
Eleanor snarled, “I bet all the drama she’s been stirring up these past couple days is just a ploy to get everything back.”
Hilda agreed–Lillian’s hypocritical mask was finally slipping.
The moment she hung up, Thomas‘ number flashed again. Eleanor answered, even more irritated. “I said no. We’re not giving anything back to her.”
“What if returning it could calm the public outrage?”
It was Thomas‘ number, but the voice that came through was Julian’s–cold and stern.

Finn… Ever since that Alpha returned from overseas, from the moment she saw him at the airport, she’d had her eye on him.
But Lillian!
That damn Omega–after destroying her brother, did she think she could go after Finn too? Over Hilda’s dead body.
Hearing Hilda’s words, Eleanor nodded in agreement. “Right. Even if Lillian ends things with Julian, she has no right to be with Finn. She shouldn’t even dream of it.”
“I’ll ask Mrs. Blake to bring up your match with the Livingston Pack right away.”
Eleanor spat out the words bitterly.
Originally, she’d wanted to wait until Iris fully recovered before arranging Hilda’s marriage alliance with Finn.
But now, it couldn’t wait.
Just as Eleanor was about to call, Hilda spoke up again. “Are we really giving everything back to
her?”
Thinking about the scar on her face, Hilda didn’t want to return a single thing to Lillian.
The question made Eleanor seethe all over again.
But remembering Julian’s tone on the phone, Eleanor finally waved a hand. “We’ll give it back for now.”
Hilda grew even more displeased. “Tell Mrs. Blake to push for it—to get me and Finn engaged as soon as possible.”
So they had to give everything back to Lillian, did they?
Then she’d get together with Finn and win back some ground.
