The people at Inkwood Gardens today had really done a number on her.

Lillian’s POV:

I walked out of the doctor’s office, my expression cold and hard.

The bodyguards Finn had sent were waiting outside with George.

When George saw me come out, he helped me into the wheelchair. I forwarded the recording from my phone to him.

George glanced at it after receiving it. “The doctor admitted to everything?”

You had to hand it to Margaret and Iris–that mother–daughter duo was pulling out all the stops to come after me.

George asked, “Should we start legal proceedings against Margaret now?”

I shook my head. “No. Letting her off that easy would be too good for her.

“We’ll handle it when I get back to the Western Continent.”

Eleanor had already arranged people to approach the Livingston Pack about a possible match. If that worked out…

Hilda would be engaged to Finn soon enough.

Her warning was clear–she didn’t want Lillian anywhere near him.
