“William? What are you doing?”
Atticus saw that the person had been scared off, and William was still
standing by the window looking down at their retreating figure. He
really couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“What exactly is your relationship with Isabella?”
William’s dark, unreadable eyes were like a net, firmly trapping that
figure. “She’s mine.”
At first, Atticus thought he had only said half of what he meant to
say, but after waiting a long time, no continuation came.
He scratched his head anxiously. “Bro, finish what you were saying?
She’s your what?”
William said, “I already finished.”
Atticus froze.
Was he messing with him?
Chapter 22
Atticus felt like these siblings had both gone crazy.
He slapped his thigh, sat down, and opened his laptop.
He needed to look into this Isabella and find out who she really was!
He couldn’t recall ever hearing this name before.
As Atticus searched, he quickly found information about the Taylor
Family.
“This Isabella is actually the child of the Taylor Family’s housekeeper.
The housekeeper was a single mother who died of cancer. Before she
passed away, the Taylor Family promised her they would take Isabella
in to live with them and support her through college…”
Atticus rested his chin on his hand, staring at the computer screen.
“Before the Taylor Family brought Isabella back, she had been left
behind in her hometown, a poor mountain area…”
The relationships between the various families in Emerald City were
deeply intertwined. Atticus asked around and found that the Taylor
Family was just an unremarkable small family, mainly in the
entertainment industry. Surprisingly kind–hearted though, to take in
an orphan left behind by their housekeeper and willing to pay for her
college education.

Chapter 22
After finishing his research, Atticus was even more confused.
So why exactly would William fall for Isabella?
Or was it that… William was naturally drawn to eye–catching things?
Like girls with tragic backgrounds.
Why didn’t he say so earlier? He could have found William a bunch of
girls like that, so he wouldn’t have been single for so many years.
Atticus continued scrolling through the pages. “The Taylor Family
posted an ad for a tutor a week ago, offering pretty good pay.”
“This must be for finding a tutor for Isabella. Isabella is transferring
to Stellar High School for the second semester of her senior year, so
the Taylor Family is probably worried she won’t be able to keep up…”
After all, the only people in the Taylor Family currently in their
senior year were Bianca and Gabriel, and those two were top students
at South Island High School who didn’t need tutors.
William turned his head and glanced at Atticus. “Give Joseph Miller a
call.”

Chapter 22
The Taylor Villa.
Bianca had invited a few good friends from her circle to practice
piano at home.
After practicing all afternoon, the butler called her to bring her
friends to the courtyard for refreshments. Just as they stepped out the
main door, everyone saw Isabella coming in from outside.
“Bianca, who’s that?” Evelyn Thomas asked, half curious and half
disdainful. “Are there still people who dress like that these days, is
something wrong with her brain…”
Every girl present was dressed fashionably with carefully done
makeup, looking noble at first glance.
Isabella’s strange hairstyle and makeup were unlike anything they’d
ever seen.
Bianca pressed her lips together and said softly, “She’s the daughter
of our family’s housekeeper.”
Bianca’s voice wasn’t loud, but Isabella could still hear it. She just
casually glanced at her.
“So that’s her!” Everyone suddenly understood.

Chapter 22
“I’ve heard about the Taylor Family deciding to support their
deceased housekeeper’s daughter, but I didn’t expect it to be this
tacky girl.”
“So girls from the mountains all dress like this, what an eye–opener…” Abigail Rodriguez’s lips twitched at the corner. She was very into
fashion and aesthetics, so seeing Isabella like this made her feel
somewhat disgusted.
“Bianca, don’t you find it unlucky to live with someone like this every
day?” Evelyn frowned. “She doesn’t look like a good person to me.”
“Don’t say that, sister is actually very nice.”
“What, you actually call her sister? She’s just a housekeeper’s
daughter. Calling her sister, don’t you feel like it degrades your
status?”
“Exactly, Bianca, I really don’t know what your mother was thinking,
actually raising a housekeeper’s daughter at home. I think this kind of
charity should just be giving some money, there’s no need to be so
good to a girl you have no blood relation with.”
Bianca sighed. “Sister is very pitiful. That housekeeper was very good
to our family before, so that’s why my mother would do this.”

Chapter 22
“No matter how good she was, you shouldn’t have to live with
someone like this. She looks like she’s covered in germs…”
A soda can was thrown at the feet of the person speaking.
“Have you said enough?” Isabella looked up at them, her eyes full of
disdain.
“You’re just a bunch of rich kids, what’s so great about that? Acting so
high and mighty?”
“Talking like you’re all so clean, aren’t you all just things piled up
with makeup and powder?”
Her gaze slowly moved to one of the girls‘ faces, and she frowned. “Your eyes and nose are both fake. If you really thought you were
beautiful, why did you get plastic surgery?”
“A bunch of ugly freaks!”
