But she had so many questions so she asked again, “Then, the hospital stairwell surveillance video?”

The answer from the other end was simple and straightforward. “Also

me.”

Isabella’s expression changed completely.

Why was William doing all this for her?

The next second, inspiration struck. “I know! William, this is all to repay me for saving Sophia’s life, right?”

William coldly denied it. “No. It’s not.”

“Then why?”

“Because I want to marry you.‘

Isabella spat out the water she’d just drunk.

It took her a while to recover. “Aren’t you being a little too direct?”

“Yes.”

“huh!”

Wait, what does that answer mean? You also think you’re being very

direct?

“I sent you some dessert.”

Hearing this out–of–the–blue statement, Isabella instinctively said,

“What?”

The next second, there was a knock at the door.

Jada’s voice came through. “Miss. Taylor, there’s dessert for you at

your door.”

Isabella hurried over and opened the door. Jada was already gone, and

at the doorway sat an exquisite dessert bag.

She picked it up, and the soft, sweet aroma of cake hit her nose.

Isabella’s eyes lit up.

It looked delicious.

Someone suddenly bumped hard into her from behind.

Although Isabella was not holding onto anything, she did not move an inch. Her foundation was very stable – such an impact couldn’t

affect her.

She rubbed her cheeks, thinking to herself–does this count as

flirting?

The plot seemed to be developing more and it’s strange.

Isabella glanced around to make sure no one was there, quickly

closed the door, and carried the dessert back to sit at her desk.

“Thank you, William. It smells really good.”

“You’re welcome.”

“If you like it, I’ll make more for you.”

William’s magnetic voice carried an electric current, and the redness

on Isabella’s ears spread uncontrollably to her face.

She was really flirting with her.

What should she do?

Isabella hung up the phone without uttering a single world, overwhelmed by the sudden realization of what the flirting could

mean.

His assistant David nearby was already stunned.

Every word, every sentence William had just said was enough to
