Chapter 486 He Will Be Mine
Daniel’s sudden confession left Aella stunned.
She stared at Daniel, completely forgetting to react.
Freshman year?
Aella’s mind drifted back to the first time she met Daniel.
No wonder Daniel blushed so hard when he came over to help her with her luggage.
She even gossiped with her friend afterward, wondering why he blushed so easily.
So it all made sense now.
Daniel said, “When I first saw you on campus, I was so glad I’d listened to my parents and chosen medicine.”
He added, “Aella, I want to show you that love and a career don’t have to be in conflict. The right person will always try to become part of your future!”
Daniel wanted to say more, but a sudden ringtone cut him off.
Aella watched Daniel’s furrowed brow as he answered his phone.
She said, “Daniel, go take care of what you need to do. I’ll wait for my younger brother and go home with him. He’s on his way.”
Daniel took off his jacket, draped it over Aella’s shoulders, gave her a few words of advice, and hurried to his car.
Aella stood there, her heart pounding wildly.
In two lifetimes, this was the first time a man had confessed to her.
But she chickened out.
After Daniel’s car drove away, Zera, who had been hiding nearby, slowly stepped out.
So this woman was named Aella.
She hadn’t caught much of her conversation with Daniel from that distance, but she could tell that the two of them were romantically involved.

They’d argued so fiercely that Daniel ended up leaving her by the road, so it was clear things weren’t going well.
Zera boldly guessed that Aella had tried to climb up the social ladder but failed, and now they’d fallen out.
She cleared her throat and proudly walked up to Aella.
She introduced herself. “Hello, Dr. Reid. I’m Daniel’s sister. Want to be friends?”
Aella saw Zera offer her a bottle of water and couldn’t help but frown.
Be friends with her?
What a joke.
Seeing the wariness in Aella’s eyes, Zera twisted open the water, took a sip, and gave Aella a smug once–over.
Aella’s expression turned impatient. She was about to leave when Zera stepped in front of her.
Aella stopped.
Zera said, “I know you’re just an ordinary doctor at our family’s hospital. You want to marry into a rich family, but Daniel won’t make your relationship public. Am I right?”
Aella truly couldn’t figure out where Zera got these ideas.
Annoyed, she asked, “What exactly are you trying to say?”
Zera said, “Dr. Reid, I can help you get the Hills‘ approval and make your relationship with Daniel public.”
Aella asked, “And what do you want in return?”
Zera couldn’t hide her satisfaction.
She’d guessed right.
Zera played coy. “I’m the Hills‘ heiress. What could I possibly need from an ordinary doctor like you? I’m just being kind, that’s all.”
Once this woman gets accepted by the Hills and her relationship with Daniel is out in the open, she’ll be my pawn.

Then I’ll use Aella to help me get closer to Daniel and secure my place in the Hills.
After that, taking the Hills‘ fortune will be a breeze.
Aella shot Zera a “you’re nuts” look and walked off.

Zera crossed her arms and let out a mocking smile.
She’s just a regular doctor, yet she’s trying to marry into money. In her dreams!
Let’s see how long you can keep acting tough.
Zera said confidently, “When you come asking me for help, I won’t be this friendly.”
She turned around, only to run right into Vivienne.
The smirk on her face dropped instantly.
Vivienne stopped as well, and the air between them crackled.
Vivienne sneered, “I can’t believe a rat like you actually gets to see daylight for once.”
Her words hit Zera hard.
Zera calmly unscrewed her bottle and squeezed it, spraying water all over Vivienne.
Vivienne screamed and stumbled back.
Zera warned her, “Vivienne, I’m the Hills‘ heiress now. The Guineveres are nothing compared to the Hills. Even if you’re Tyrone’s fiancée, it doesn’t matter. Sooner or later, he’ll be mine!”
Zera tossed the empty bottle and strode away.
Vivienne was so furious watching Zera swagger away that she could hardly breathe. “What a psycho!”
She grabbed her phone and immediately called her parents. “Mom, I need you to handle something for me. Do it right now.”
Zera
got in a cab, rolled down the window, and looked at Vivienne fuming on the curb. She felt amazing.
She was now the Hills‘ official adopted daughter and their official heiress.
Anyone who dared mess with her would pay the price tenfold.
