Tyrone glanced at his grandfather and father, then left with Aella. He ignored their angry shouts.

They got into the car.

Tyrone asked, “Why didn’t you call me before coming?”

Aella looked distracted. “I didn’t know you and Raine weren’t at the estate. I already told my parents I’d stay with Raine tonight.”

She grabbed Tyrone’s sleeve. Her eyes turned red at once. “Tyrone, something happened to my family. You have to help my dad.” Tyrone frowned and leaned over to fasten her seat belt.

She threw herself into Tyrone’s arms and cried hard.

Tyrone handed her a tissue. “Sit up first. Wipe your tears.”

Aella stayed curled against him, rubbing her tears and snot all over his shirt.

His hand with the tissue paused in midair for a few seconds. Then, he set the tissue on the coffee table and let her ruin his shirt.

He spoke gently, “You don’t need to worry about business. If you want to help your parents, focus on your studies. Don’t add to

their stress.”

Aella looked up, her eyes red like a rabbit’s. “Will my family go bankrupt?”
