“Tyrone, I want you to take me to school on the first day.”

Miriam sighed. “Aella packed several boxes of the gifts Tyrone gave her last night and asked us to return them to the Winters today.”.

He nodded. “If it weren’t for Tyrone back then, our family would’ve gone bankrupt. No matter who suggested ending the engagement, we’ll return everything properly.”

She agreed. “I’ve prepared the wedding gifts and the share transfer papers. This afternoon, we’ll go to the Winters and make it clear.”

At 3:00 p.m., Miriam and Warren went to the Winter Estate on their own.

When Tyrone saw Aella’s parents arrive unexpectedly, he stood up to greet them.

Virginia and Ralph also rose and invited them into the living room.

Warren greeted Edwin politely. “Mr. Edwin, how have you been lately?”

To Edwin, the two families were already connected by marriage.

He was still satisfied with the Reids, so he stayed courteous and told Tyrone to serve tea.

Warren sat down politely and accepted the teacup.

Miriam, however, stayed standing and had the drivers carry several large boxes inside.

Carefully, he asked, “What are these?”

Miriam answered vaguely, “I’m not sure what’s inside. Aella asked us to bring them. You’ll know when you open them tonight.”

Tyrone’s chest tightened. He lowered his eyes.

He knew Aella too well.

He could already guess what was inside.

And he could guess why her parents were here.
