Chapter 655 The Knife Between Them
Chapter 655 The Knife Between Them.
Aella backed away, her guard up, and grabbed a spare kitchen knife from behind her.
Tyrone wasn’t a decent human being, and this Zach was even worse.
She had blocked Tyrone on everything days ago, and if he had tried to reach out even once, he would have noticed.
But up until now, he hadn’t come looking for her at all.
That meant he had never once tried to contact her.
And had no idea she’d even blocked him.
Aella screamed Cassandra’s name. “Cassandra, get in here right now!”
Even if she was the most trusting person alive, she knew she’d been set up by Cassandra.
She had treated Cassandra like a real friend, and Cassandra had turned around and stabbed her in the back.
Despite everything, a small ache of betrayal still stung in her chest.

Zach said, “Don’t bother. Your friend already went home. Tonight, you could scream until your lungs give out, and nobody’s coming to save you.”
Aella tightened her grip on the kitchen knife and kept it behind her back.
She warned Zach, “You piece of trash. Give me back my phone!”
Right in front of her, Zach powered off Aella’s phone.
Aella’s heart dropped into her stomach.
She kept both hands behind her back, gripping the knife with white knuckles.
When Zach started moving toward her with that disgusting smirk on his face, Aella swung the knife at him.
Even though Zach dodged fast, the blade still sliced through his sleeve and nicked his skin, drawing blood.
While Zach was caught off guard, Aella bolted out of the kitchen with the knife in hand.
Jenny was lounging in the living room, casually chatting on the phone with Zera, when Aella suddenly came charging out of the kitchen wielding a knife–she nearly dropped her phone.
The second Aella saw Jenny, every fiber of her being wanted to take a swing at that woman, but right now all that mattered was getting out of here.
Aella rushed to the front door with the knife and found it locked.
She spun around.
Zach and Jenny were both staring at her with smug, triumphant grins.

He pointed at the knife in Aella’s hand and taunted, “Be a good girl–put the knife down and apologize to me nicely. Maybe I’ll be gentle with you.”
Jenny gloated, “You bitch. You ruined my reputation, destroyed my name, and got me thrown out of the Townsends. Tonight, I’m going to make sure you know exactly how that feels!”
Aella gripped the knife tighter but stayed by the door, keeping her guard up. “Jenny, you brought every bit of that on yourself. You tried to hurt people, and it blew up in your face. You got exactly what you deserved!”
Aella was talking tough, but she didn’t make another move toward Zach or Jenny with the knife.
Zach might have been completely helpless against Tyrone, but dealing with her was a different story entirely.
He was a trust–fund rich kid who practically lived at the gym and the boxing studio.
Even with a knife in her hand, she didn’t stand a real chance against him.
And then there was Jenny, who had tried to frame her, only for the scheme to backfire and get herself kicked out of the Townsends -she’d been fanning the flames of hatred against Aella ever since.
Now the door was locked tight.
Her phone had been taken and shut off by that scumbag Zach.
Cassandra had lured her here and already left.
If she didn’t figure out a way to save herself fast, tonight was going to end very badly at the hands of these two monsters.
Jenny snapped when Aella hit a nerve.
She pointed at Aella and turned to Zach. “Zach, what are you waiting for?”
Zach rolled up his sleeves and slowly closed in on Aella.
Aella’s eyes were sharp and defensive as she shouted a warning. “Zach, don’t forget how Tyrone put you in the hospital. If you lay a finger on me, Tyrone won’t let you walk away from this!”
At the mention of Tyrone, a flicker of hesitation crossed Zach’s eyes, and his feet stopped moving.
Jenny saw him wavering and immediately pushed him forward.
“Zach, Tyrone’s the heir to the Winters. But you’re the golden child of the Townsends. The Winters might be old money, but the Townsends are one of the top eight families in Vleka. Tyrone beat you to a pulp–are you seriously just going to take that lying down?”
