Chapter 657 Don’t Look
After those words, Tyrone gently released Aella.

He quickly pulled off his own jacket and wrapped it around her upper body, then scooped her up in his arms.
Cradled against Tyrone’s chest, it took Aella a long moment before she fully came back to herself.
When she realized it was Tyrone holding her, the tears she’d been barely holding back broke loose all at once.
Her voice trembled, and her vision blurred with tears. “What took you so long?”
Aella buried her face in Tyrone’s chest and sobbed out loud.
Tyrone held her tighter, pressing his cheek against her forehead, whispering “I’m sorry” over and over again.
Aella looked up through her tears and shoved at his chest. “Put me down. I want to beat that bastard to death!”

She wasn’t one of those helpless heiresses from some romance novel who just cried and crumbled and never stopped.
Tyrone carefully set Aella down on the edge of the bed.
He crouched in front of her, took both her hands in his, and stared at her face with bloodshot eyes.
Tyrone looked straight into her eyes. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
Aella sniffled, wiped her tears, and shook her head. “I’m fine.”
She’d taken a hit, almost been violated, and gotten slapped across the face.
But she wasn’t about to fall apart over it.
Tyrone pressed a gentle kiss to her eyelashes. “Close your eyes and rest for a second. I’ll be right back.”
He settled Aella onto the cushioned bench at the foot of the bed.
Aella nodded obediently and let out a soft sound of acknowledgment.
Before she could even process what was happening, a bloodcurdling scream ripped through the air from Zach.
Aella’s eyes flew open just in time to see Tyrone vault out of the second–story window.
She scrambled to the window in a panic and looked down. Zach was surrounded by a wall of the Winters‘ security guards.
One of the guards handed Tyrone a baseball bat, and Aella didn’t even bother fixing herself up before she turned and ran downstairs.
She wanted Tyrone to teach Zach a lesson, but she couldn’t let it turn into a murder.
Aella reached the first–floor garden and immediately heard screams–a man’s and a woman’s.

Jenny, covered in blood, crawled to Aella’s feet. “Ms. Reid, I know I was wrong. Please, have mercy!”
The overwhelming stench of blood, combined with the sight of Jenny’s face slashed beyond recognition, nearly made Aella throw
But looking down at Jenny apologizing and pleading at her feet, Aella felt no sympathy. “Jenny, you got exactly what you deserved.”
Jenny sobbed and tried to deflect. “Ms. Reid, I’m sorry. It was all Zach. He forced me to do it!”
Aella pulled Tyrone’s jacket tighter around herself.
She kicked Jenny away in anger. “You and Zach are cut from the same rotten cloth!”
If Tyrone hadn’t shown up tonight, she wouldn’t have made it out.
No matter how badly these people ended up, she wasn’t going to waste a single drop of pity on them.
The moment Aella finished speaking, the head of the Winters‘ security team ordered his men to drag Jenny across the yard like a ragdoll toward a large tree.
The security chief approached Aella respectfully. “Ms. Reid, Mr. Winter asked me to take you home first.”
When Tyrone had found out his fiancée was trapped here, he’d driven out alone, blowing through God knows how many red lights on the way.
The security team had followed in several cars behind him, their hearts in their throats the entire ride.
But Aella walked right past the security chief, heading straight toward Tyrone.
When Tyrone saw Aella coming downstairs, he immediately tossed aside the bloodied baseball bat.
Aella had a wild streak in her.
But she was still a girl.
A scene this brutal was better kept out of her sight.
He stepped forward to meet her, positioning himself to block her view of what was behind him.
Tyrone adjusted the jacket around her shoulders, then carefully smoothed down her hair.
His voice was soft, impossibly gentle. “Don’t look.”
The way Tyrone looked at Aella was pure tenderness, every trace of love in his eyes completely bare and unhidden.
From this moment on, he would never leave her side again.
Even if it meant falling into the abyss, he would never let go.
Tyrone’s dark eyes swirled with a storm of unspoken emotion as he gazed at Aella.
