Chapter 658 Bleed Them

Jenny, her face slashed beyond recognition, lay crumpled at the base of the tree, shaking uncontrollably.

Tyrone looked at the security chief. Bleed them. And let the Townsends know.

The security chief nodded, pulled out a combat knife, and walked toward the tree.

Aella watched the two of them screaming in the distance and couldn’t help but frown. Tyrone, scaring them is enough. Don’t let this turn into a body count.

As much as she wanted to chop those two up and feed them to the dogs, the Townsends were still one of the top eight families in Vleka. Blowing this up over two pieces of trash wasn’t worth it.

Tyrone’s arm tightened around Aella’s waist, pulling her closer. Relax. I know what I’m doing.

Aella tried to wriggle off his lap, but Tyrone wasn’t letting her go.

Even though he hadn’t reached out to Aella these past weeks, he had gone to see her every single day.

Sometimes outside the Reid Estate, sometimes near her school, sometimes wherever she went to practice piano

Everyone assumed his feelings for Aella were casual at best.

Only he knew the agony of being apart from her.

When he found out she was trapped here, the regret over his earlier hesitation nearly ate him alive.

From this moment forward, he wouldn’t waver again.

He was going to hold her just like this, spoil her, love her.

And with his sincerity and devotion, he would slowly brace for whatever storm might be coming.

The Townsends arrived fast.

When Matthew saw his son strung up in a tree and his illegitimate daughter disfigured and beaten on the groundboth of them with slashed ankles steadily oozing bloodhis legs nearly gave out from under him.

Hazel came even closer to fainting on the spot.

Aella watched the Townsends stumble toward the tree and started to stand, but Tyrone stopped her.

She met his dark, steady gaze and hesitated, staying silent.

Jenny was the first to react.

She dragged herself to Matthew’s feet, wailing like a banshee. Dad, you’re finally here! Please, you have to save me!

Matthew shook his unconscious son hanging from the tree and realized the boy was already out cold.

Matthew demanded answers from Jenny. What the hell happened here?

Jenny stole a quick glance at Tyrone and Aella in the distance.

She gritted her teeth and spun the story. Dad, it was those two. They set out to get revenge on Zach, and I only got hurt because i was trying to protect him. Please, Dad, you have to help me!

Hazel rushed to her son’s side with the staff, screaming for them to cut him down.

But the Winterssecurity chief stepped in front of the Townsendsentourage first. Mrs. Hazel, without Mr. Winter’s orders, you’re not taking anyone.

Seeing that he was getting nowhere, Matthew hurried over to Tyrone. Mr. Winter, whatever the misunderstanding, I’m asking you -please, for my sake, spare my son’s life!

Tyrone lifted his eyes to Matthew, his expression completely flat. Tell me, Mr. Townsendyour son ignored my warning and had the audacity to lay his hands on my fiancée with the intent to assault her. Was it you who gave him the nerve to try?

Matthew’s panicked gaze fell on Aella in Tyrone’s arms. I’m sorry, Mr. Winter. I failed as a father. I’m asking you to be the bigger man and let my son go this once.

Matthew took one look at Aellaher hair disheveled, a clear handprint across her face, her collar tornand knowing full well what kind of man his son was, the picture was painfully obvious.

Matthew was well past 50, a man who had spent half his life clawing his way through the business world. He knew whose story held water and whose didn’t.

Matthew turned around and shot Jenny a murderous glare. You ungrateful wretch. I’ll deal with you later!

Jenny scrambled to defend herself. Dad, don’t listen to them. Zach and I are innocent!

Matthew kicked Jenny away from him.

As Matthew watched Tyrone hold Aella so protectively in his arms, letting her toy with his cufflinks without a care in the world, sweat began to bead on his forehead.

If Aella didn’t give the word tonight, his son was a dead man.

Matthew stepped closer and addressed Aella directly. Ms. Reid, there’s no sense in letting bad blood fester. I’m pleading with you to show mercy and let my son go this time. The Townsends will be forever in your debt!

Aella said nothing. Tyrone didn’t speak either.

The tension hung thick, the standoff stretching on in suffocating silence.

Matthew immediately called Beatrice and told her to go to the Winterselders to plead for mercy.

Hazel, watching her unconscious son dangle from the tree without responding no matter how many times she called his name, completely lost it.
