Chapter 661 Never Letting Go

“I’m not letting go!” Tyrone held her even tighter. “I’m never letting go of you again!”
Tyrone buried his face in the curve of Aella’s neck. “Aella, I’m sorry. I really do love you.”
He had missed her so much these past weeks.
Missed holding her like this, kissing her like this.
Tyrone’s voice came out muffled and raw. “You have no idea how terrified I was when I found out you were in danger.”
If I hadn’t gotten there in time tonight… Tyrone couldn’t let himself finish that thought.
He said, “Aella, I was wrong. I regret ever bringing up calling off the engagement. I want to be with you.”
Aella’s struggling slowly came to a stop, and for a moment she was genuinely speechless.
Engaged when he felt like it, broken off when he felt like it.
And now back together just because he said so.
Aella mustered every ounce of strength she had and broke free from his arms. “Tyrone, what the hell am I to you?”
Tyrone leaned down to steal a kiss. “You’re my whole life.”
Aella raised her knee toward his crotch. “Your life is right here, buddy!”
Tyrone snapped his legs shut.
Aella straddled him and let it all out.
“Ugh!”
“You worthless piece of trash!”

Tyrone had one arm around Aella’s waist, the other shielding his own face, all while telling the driver to go.
The second Aella heard he was taking her to Bluehaven, she lost it.
‘Tyrone, you better stop this car right now, or I swear we are done!”
Tyrone leaned back against the rear seat.
Both arms wrapped around her waist, holding her firmly against him.
His voice came out low and quiet. “Come home with me first. Once we’re there, you can hit me and yell at me all you want.”
He had proposed, then called it off.
And his reason for calling it off was so absurd that nobody in their right mind would believe it.

Now he regretted it.
He wanted to be by her side every second of every day.
His behavior had been unforgivable. He knew that.
Aella thrashed around in his arms with everything she had, but the harder she fought, the tighter Tyrone held on, until she was practically being squeezed to death.
Hit him and yell at him all she wanted?
That only made her angrier.
What the hell was wrong with this man?
The car rolled to a gentle stop in front of their building.
Aella flat–out refused to go upstairs with him. “Tyrone, I want to go back to my own home!”
Back when Tyrone had decided to call off the engagement, he’d shipped her back to the Reid Estate without so much as asking.
And now he was just hauling her back here because he felt like it.
Did her dignity mean nothing?
At the elevator entrance, Aella fought like a cornered animal. “Tyrone, I’m not coming back just to be your second choice!”
Tyrone blocked her every move. “Aella, I’m only four years older than you. I’m not over the hill yet.”
Aella kicked and swung at the air between them. “You’re not old–you’re just a total dick!”
Tyrone glanced around and lowered his voice, trying to reason with her. “Aella, come on. Cut it out. You can scream at me all you want once we’re inside.”
The two of them going at it looked like a suburban dad trying to wrestle a Thanksgiving turkey back into the oven–all flailing limbs and utter futility.
The security chief watched with his jaw on the floor and then quickly told the driver to get them out of there.
Brad happened to be coming home right at that moment and walked straight into the chaos.
Tyrone and Aella spoke almost in perfect unison.
“Brad, come give me a hand.”
“Brad, save me!”
Brad cleared his throat awkwardly, quietly pulled his leg back into his car, and shut the door as fast as possible.
Aella paused.
Tyrone seized the moment of distraction, bent down, threw Aella over his shoulder, and stepped into the elevator.

Aella was hanging upside down over his back, so furious she pinched his waist as hard as she could.
A few minutes later, the two of them were inside the apartment.
Tyrone locked the door, then carefully set Aella down.

One of them slumped against the wall, the other leaned against the shoe cabinet, both drenched in sweat and gasping for air.
Tyrone gazed at Aella, his eyes brimming with warmth and affection.
