Chapter 100
:
Eliana knew it was over the moment she saw the look on Serena’s face.
She lunged forward, trying to block the display. “No! Don’t look at my design!”
Dylan frowned, confused by her outburst.
But it was too late. Joseph had already seen enough.
With a sharp crack, he hurled his water bottle, striking Eliana squarely.
Eliana froze, completely stunned.
The livestream chat immediately erupted.
[What the hell? That old man just assaulted her!]

[Who does he think he is? He can’t just attack a young woman like that, I don’t care how famous he is.]
[If he doesn’t have a damn good reason for that, he’s canceled. Ms. Lambert is so sweet and gentle. This is disgusting.]
Dylan shot to his feet and moved to stand in front of Eliana, his eyes glinting with cold fury as he faced Joseph. “What is the meaning of this, Joseph?”
Standing a short distance away, Serena watched Dylan protect Eliana, a familiar ache piercing her heart. When they had brought out last year’s winning piece, she’d been floored. It was the design she had been forced to withdraw from the second round of that same competition.
How had it become Eliana’s winning entry?
The rules had been different that year, requiring on–the–spot submissions.
She’d finished the sketch but had gotten an urgent call that Dylan was in a car crash.
In her panic, she had given the design to Joseph for safekeeping and rushed to Dylan’s side. In the years that followed, consumed with caring for him, she had completely forgotten about it.
Joseph let out a cold laugh. “Why did I do it? Eliana knows exactly why. Why don’t you ask her if she’s the one who actually drew that ‘winning‘ design?”
Fear and panic seized Eliana. Was this it? Was her dream about to crumble?
‘How could Joseph possibly know?‘ she wondered frantically.
She had found the design in the break room that day and knew it belonged to Stella.
She and Beatrice had been keeping a close eye on Stella all year.

Falcon, furious, stood up. “Joseph Hayes, what are you trying to pull now? Eliana’s work last year was outstanding. Why are you trying to pick a fight?”
He had to say something to save face, especially after so publicly offering to take Eliana on as his protégée.
He thought Joseph was just making trouble for no reason.
Joseph ignored him, his gaze fixed on Eliana. “Ms. Lambert, I’ll give you one chance. Are you going to tell the truth, or should I?”
With Dylan standing beside her, a surge of defiant courage filled Eliana. Why should she confess?
She looked at Joseph, her chin held high. “I have no idea what you’re talking about. What is there to confess?”
Seeing her refusal, Joseph didn’t hesitate. “That design isn’t yours,” he said bluntly. “You stole it.”
Eliana trembled with rage. “You need proof to make an accusation like that, Joseph! Who did I supposedly steal it from?”
Joseph’s voice thundered through the hall. “From me!”
Eliana stood as if turned to stone.
