Joseph’s eyes narrowed. The woman’s audacity was staggering.
Still denying she stole it, even now?

“Eliana,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. “Are you really going to stand there and claim you created this design?”
Eliana’s lip trembled, and her eyes welled up as she retorted, trying to sound righteous. “Joseph, I didn’t steal anything. I don’t know what your relationship with Stella is, but why are you trying to ruin my name?
“Stella and I have our issues, but that doesn’t give you the right to frame me for something I didn’t do.”
“Frame you?” Joseph scoffed. “Let me remind you of the last competition. During the second round, Stella’s friend was in a car accident. She dropped out to go save him, but she left her design with me before she went.
“Since she couldn’t compete, I held onto it. I had to step out to take a call and left the sketch on a table in the lounge. When I came back, it was gone. Did you really think that just because there were no cameras, there was no way to prove you were the one who took it?”
Dylan looked at Stella, stunned. The car accident… Stella had been the first one on the scene, the one who saved him.
She was in a competition at that time?
She had given up her chance to win for him.
A strange, unnamable feeling churned in Dylan’s gut.
He knew Eliana was also competing back then, but he’d been too busy taking over the Ashford family business to attend.
Then came the accident, the ruin of his family, his paralysis, and the ruptured liver.
He’d woken up to the news that Eliana had been injured giving him a partial liver transplant and had gone abroad to recover.
At the time, the Ashfords had lost everything.
Eliana had sent him letters of encouragement from overseas, but it was Stella who had appeared three months later, paying his medical bills and caring for him after he was discharged.
Dylan’s mind raced. Eliana knew about the accident that day, but she’d stayed to finish her competition. How could she have had time for a transplant surgery?
Meanwhile, Stella had dropped everything.
He shook his head, trying to dismiss the thought. No. Eliana had the scar. He couldn’t doubt her like this.

Chapter 101
Eliana was equally shocked. Stella had dropped out of the competition to save Dylan?
A flicker of panic crossed her face.
She remembered getting the call about Dylan’s accident, but Tyler had been with her.
She couldn’t risk leaving, afraid Tyler would dump her if he found out.
Dylan’s gaze was drawn irresistibly to Serena, but she didn’t even spare him a glance.
Her eyes were fixed on Eliana, who stood behind him.
“Eliana, you stole my life,” Serena said, her voice even. “I hope you can be happy with it forever.”
Eliana froze, staring at her nervously.
Dylan was just as confused. What did she mean by that?
Joseph had no time for theatrics. He turned to the host. “Get me some water.”
The host blinked. “Water? What for?”
He asked with a nervous smile, “Hot or cold, Joseph?”
Joseph’s brow furrowed. “A bottle of mineral water will do.”
Someone quickly handed him a bottle.
