Hazel’s expression was grim. He let out a heavy sigh before speaking. “Mr. Ashford’s body hasn’t fully recovered from the transplant. His previous check–ups were fine, so I don’t understand why this is happening

now.

“If this continues, the risk of infection will skyrocket. He might need another transplant, and if there are any complications… he could die.”

“What?” Beatrice was stunned.

‘How could this be happening?‘

“Dr. Morgan, I secretly brought you some of the pills Dylan was taking before. Do you know where to buy them? Or… can you replicate the formula?”

Hazel shook his head. “I can’t. The formula is incredibly complex. I remember you told me Ms. Hale was the one who made them. You’ll have to go to her. The only way to ensure his long–term health is for him to continue taking her medicine.”

Beatrice froze. She knew there was no way Stella would make more medicine for Dylan now, not after everything.

If Stella found out the truth about the transplant, her revenge against the Ashfords would be even more vicious.

“Dr. Morgan, you know what happened back then. She’ll never agree to give Dylan the pills.”

Hazel’s brow furrowed, a wave of regret washing over him as he recalled the past.

“Mrs. Ashford,” he said, his tone heavy, “I owed you a favor, which is why I falsified those records for you. My debt is paid. From now on, I can only do my best within my professional capacity.”

With a troubled expression, Hazel walked away.
