Serena set Liam down on the couch, letting him do his own thing for a while.

‘We will, Serena! All of us!” Lyra replied, her tone gentle but firm. She knew happiness wasn’t easy to come by, but as long as Serena was happy, that meant they were happy too.

‘Alright, go get some rest. I’ll call Mrs. Brett and let her know what’s going on,” Serena said.

Lyra made Serena a cup of tea before heading out.

On her way out, she took Liam along and brought him to the study so he could read.

Serena lounged by the big window, phone in hand as she called Kendall. She looked effortlessly beautiful, her relaxed pose casting a soft shadow on the glass.

Kendall hadn’t shown up at the office these past few days. Serena had told her to handle her family stuff first.
