Dylan’s hands balled into fists. So Stella had been hiding all those secrets from him, keeping everything to herself.
Because she knew he’d never believe her anyway.
In Stella’s eyes, this was the kind of guy he was.
Dylan slowly got to his feet, a bitter, mocking smile tugging at his lips, a dangerous edge in his eyes. He looked a little unsteady, almost like he might fall over.
He’d come here to see her, only to end up overhearing her talking with her best friend.
Now that he thought about it, he didn’t even have the face to show up in front of her anymore.
Every single person in the Ashford family had been scheming against her, plotting and trying to use her.
All because she was an orphan, easy to push around.
Dylan let out a bitter laugh. He’d done the same thing, playing on the fact that she was an orphan for three whole years of their marriage.
He figured since she didn’t have any parents, it’d be easy to part ways without drama. As long as he settled things with Stella, there wouldn’t be any extra trouble down the line.
He was just as rotten as Yvonne and the others in the Ashford family.
Serena and Vivian parted ways at the entrance, each heading home.
Serena had recently handled the issue with the fashion designer, and the company was finally hiring new staff. Every morning, she’d get up and discuss company matters with Chris.
She was busy in a good way and still managed to take good care of her son.
She felt fulfilled. This was the life she’d always loved.
After a busy day, the next morning, Serena went with Vivian to Cityview Tower to see the jewelry exhibition.
Her reason for coming was simple. Their company had some pieces on display here. She was here specifically to check. things out.
Serena was planning to make some changes to the jewelry design team soon.
Today, Lyra and Gray were tagging along with Serena and Vivian.
Serena was rocking a pink suit, her long hair pulled into a ponytail. She looked effortlessly graceful.
Since she was always crouching down to take care of her kid, she barely wore dresses these days.
She held Liam’s hand and headed inside with Vivian.
Lyra and Gray flanked her on either side.
The high–end jewelry exhibition was dripping with luxury at every turn.

Vivian really liked the style of Seryn Jewels. It just happened to be the jewelry brand owned by Cloudmere Group.
Most folks here today were drawn by Seryn Jewels‘ showstopper, the Heart of the Stars.
Serena and Vivian spotted the Seryn Jewels display right away, set up in a prime spot right by the entrance.
Vivian, practically buzzing with excitement, grabbed Serena’s hand and pulled her inside.
“Wow,” Vivian gasped, her eyes wide as she took in the jewelry on display. Every piece was stunning.
There were two bodyguards posted in front of the Heart of the Stars display, and some classy young women were standing nearby, admiring it.
Vivian was blown away. “Serena, this is just stunning! The design is so fresh with pink gemstones nestled in rose gold, dazzling and radiant. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and so romantic!”
When Vivian saw the price, she nearly choked.
2.6 million?” she gasped. That was crazy expensive!
Serena looked at the ring with a smile. “Vivian, do you like it?”
Vivian shook her head. She loved it, but no way was she dropping that kind of cash. ‘For that price, I could buy a whole house!‘ she thought.
I love it, but I’m not buying. I’m just here to admire,” she said.
Seriously, can’t afford it? If you don’t have the cash, what’s the point of gawking at it?” a voice sounded.
Vivian looked over and saw it was Yvonne who’d spoken, with Eliana standing next to her.
Vivian’s eyes flashed with anger. “Seriously, you again?”
Yvonne crossed her arms, her tone dripping with arrogance. “Yeah, it’s me. What’s your problem? You two broke souls, if you can’t afford anything here, why are you even browsing?
This place is for people with money. If you’re broke, just get out.”
Vivian was fuming. She could easily outspend Yvonne any day. “Bitch, who are you calling broke?”
