“Oh, you’re loaded? Go ahead and buy it! Let someone like me, who’s totally broke, see how you rich people throw your money around,” Vivian snapped.

The Ashford family’s net worth was in the hundreds of millions.

But none of that was liquid cash. There was no way Yvonne could just pull out 2.6 million dollars.

Yvonne gave Serena a defiant look. ‘Dylan’s crazy about Eliana. He’d buy her anything, no questions asked, she thought.

Serena just gave a lazy, half–smile.

Eliana’s face went pale as she looked at Yvonne. ‘She is seriously clueless, she thought.

“Yvonne, let’s go,” Eliana said, not about to pick a fight with Serena right now.

Her only concern now was keeping her cushy life.

Dylan had only come to the jewelry show because he heard Serena was going to be there. He hadn’t expected to walk in and catch Yvonne giving Serena a hard time again.

He walked over, crouched down, and looked at his son, his smile warm and gentle. “Liam, it’s me.”

Liam pressed his lips together and said, “Hello, Mr. Ashford.”

Those words struck Dylan like a thunderbolt.

Liam had said he wouldn’t call him Dad anymore, and he was true to his word.

Eliana taunted Stella, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Wow, Stella, you really know how to raise a kid, teaching him to call his own father Mr. Ashford?”

Dylan shot to his feet, his voice cold and sharp. “Eliana, shut up! Isn’t it because of you that our kid turned out like this? I don’t owe you a damn thing.

“The Ashford family gave the Lambert family over 100 million dollars, and I’ll make sure I get it all back. This is what you get for lying to me.”

Eliana staggered back, tears welling up in her eyes. “Dylan, was that all your love for me ever was, just because I saved you?”

“Exactly. Back when I was sick, and you helped me out, I only felt pity for you. But later, I realized what I felt wasn’t love at all. It was just the fantasy you and my mother cooked up together,” Dylan said, his voice icy.
