As soon as the Lennox family came up, Eliana’s face lit up with excitement. She couldn’t help but share with Beatrice.
She said, “I’m doing great there. Mariana’s been really good to us. She even helped me set up a studio. I’ve already picked out the location. It’s right near Dylan’s company.”
Dylan had once promised to buy her a company for her studio.
But he broke his promise.
She wanted to show him just how hard she’d worked and how lucky she was now.
Leaving her was his loss.
Even thinking this, Eliana still felt a pang in her heart.
She still loved Dylan the most.
She just couldn’t figure out how Dylan, who used to spoil her, could suddenly stop loving her.
All those sweet things Dylan did for her felt like they’d just happened yesterday.
Beatrice was thrilled. She thought, ‘Mariana is such a fool, so easy to trick. People only ever see what is right in front of them. Take Dylan, for example, he’d buy anything she said.
But what Beatrice didn’t get was that Dylan trusted her because she was his mom. He knew his mom loved him, wouldn’t lie to him, and would never hurt him.
That’s why he believed everything she said.
And since she knew he’d never bother to look into things himself, she brazenly let Eliana step in and take over everything.
Beatrice said happily, “Just keep sweet–talking her. Once you’ve got everything from the Lennox family, you can finally relax. Serena and Dylan won’t be able to touch you then.”
“Is that so?” Dylan’s voice suddenly rang out from the doorway, cold as ice.
Eliana and Beatrice both froze. Why was Dylan suddenly back?
Beatrice steadied herself and put on a smile. “Dylan, why are you back?”
Dylan looked at the two of them, clearly in cahoots, and his eyes flashed with disgust.
Eliana saw the disgust in his eyes, and her heart sank.
A wave of humiliation washed over her. She just couldn’t understand why Dylan had stopped loving her.
Eliana knew she’d taken over Stella’s life, but she couldn’t help feeling like it was always meant to be hers.
Dylan’s eyes were icy, a wicked smile curling on his lips. “So, you’ve been siphoning off my father’s assets behind my back?”
Beatrice was stunned, her face falling. So, he really did know.
“Dylan, your father passed away so suddenly and left a fortune. I’m his wife, what’s wrong with me taking a share?” Beatrice

Dylan strode up to her, his tall frame looming. He let out a cold, mocking laugh. He said, “You think you deserve it? The day you divorced, everything was already settled.
“You got this villa and a hefty bank account. And now you’re secretly going after my dad’s money, plotting with this woman against the Lennox family? You really think you can get away with this?”
Eliana knew he’d heard everything. “Dylan, I… I only did all this for you. If I get rich, will you take me back?”
Dylan couldn’t believe how messed up her thinking was. “Eliana, you really make me sick.”
He gave her a mocking smile. “Even if you owned the whole world, I still wouldn’t want you.”
“Dylan.” Eliana hated that cocky, almost–smirking look on his face. Her icy features tensed as she fixed her gaze on him. ‘How can someone look this perfect?‘ she thought, completely mesmerized by his flawless face.
“Dylan, aside from what you already know, I didn’t do anything wrong. Everyone wants something better for themselves. Tyler was the one who forced me to leave.
“You have no idea how much I suffered when I had to go,” Eliana said, her voice tight with emotion.
“If you hadn’t gotten into that accident, we could’ve just gotten married, settled down, and started a family. None of this drama would’ve happened. I’m a woman, I was vulnerable, and couldn’t you at least try to see things from my side?” she pleaded.
“The moment you realized I wasn’t the one who saved you, you just tossed me aside,” Eliana said, her voice trembling with hurt.
“Dylan, I know you’re not really like this. I truly love you. Will you come back to me?” Eliana pleaded, her voice shaking with emotion.
“I need you so much. I swear, you’re the only one I’ll ever love. I’ll never fall for anyone else,” she promised, desperation. shining in her eyes.
Eliana stood up and reached for Dylan, trying to take his hand.
