Jasper said, “Sure. Eliana. Let’s meet somewhere. I’ll send you the address in a bit. Bring Mr. Ashford with you.”
Eliana glanced at Dylan and silently prayed. ‘I hope everything Stella said is false. Dad wouldn’t be so reckless that all the liquor is counterfeit, would he?‘
“Alright, Dad. Send the address. We’ll be there shortly,” Eliana said before hanging up.
Not long after, Jasper sent the location. He was at a nearby lounge.
“Dylan, my dad is at the lounge up ahead. Let’s go over,” Eliana said gently.
Under the sunlight, Dylan looked striking and radiant. Eliana felt her heart flutter uncontrollably.
‘Back then, I shouldn’t have left. I should’ve stayed by his side. If I had, I wouldn’t be living in constant fear now, Eliana thought.
When Dylan had been on the brink of death years ago, Eliana had been afraid of being tied to him for the rest of her life, so she left with that man.
Yet in less than four years, Dylan had single–handedly turned the Ashford family around, restoring it to a powerful, enviable elite family once again.
Dylan’s brows and eyes were stunning, his presence sharp yet composed. A keen light gleamed in his eyes, making it hard for anyone to meet his gaze directly.
Eliana gave him a brief look, then quietly followed behind him. Dylan conducted business with firm principles, and she was genuinely worried that he would refuse to help the Lambert family.
Dylan drove Eliana to the lounge where Jasper was waiting.
Inside a private room of the lounge, Jasper paced anxiously, waiting for Dylan to arrive.
In his fifties, Jasper looked cunning yet sharp–edged.
The moment he saw Dylan enter, the anxiety on his face instantly turned into a flattering smile. “Dylan, Eliana, you’re here. Come, have a seat.”
Dylan nodded faintly and sat across from Jasper, his attitude distant and reserved.
Eliana spoke first. “Dad, did you offend Stella somehow? Stella is the assistant to Kismet Bar’s newly appointed president. She was the one who uncovered the counterfeit liquor issue. Dad, you didn’t sell counterfeit liquor, did you?”
Dylan’s brows knit slightly. ‘She shouldn’t be accusing Stella like this,‘ he thought.
Jasper frowned and looked at Eliana, shaking his head quickly. “Eliana, I’ve never offended her. Why would she target me like this? How could I possibly sell counterfeit liquor?”

“The liquor really is counterfeit. But how could anyone find out? Even if the authorities investigate, they’ll only look at the paperwork. The inspection reports I forged all show the products passed,‘ Jasper thought.
But Jasper was a seasoned schemer. In an instant, he understood Eliana’s intention.
Turning to Dylan, Jasper put on an expression of shock. “Dylan, Stella is your ex–wife. Could it be that after divorcing you, she started holding a grudge against Eliana and secretly retaliated against the Lambert family?”
“If that’s the case, you really have to help the Lambert family. You can’t let Stella destroy us. Eliana saved your life, and she is your son’s mother. You must help me,” Jasper said with great emotion.
Thinking on his feet, Jasper quickly put himself at ease.
