Yvonne wasn’t stupid. Watching Dylan and Serena step into the elevator, she blurted out anxiously, “Eliana, what did Stella mean by that?
“She called you a sharp knife? Stella always gives me this mysterious vibe, like she’s some kind of queen who’s got everything under control. It’s honestly kind of suffocating.”
Eliana sneered. “It’s simple. Someone’s using me to go against her. But so what? All I want is for her to pay. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be so ruined.”
All Eliana wanted was to make Serena disappear from this world for good.
Her career was booming, and soon enough, she’d crush Serena beneath her feet.
“Come on, let’s grab a drink next door. Who knows how long this rain is gonna last? We’re stuck here for now,” Eliana said.
But deep down, Eliana’s unease kept intensifying day by day.
The harder she was knocked down, the fiercer she fought back. She was sure this wasn’t the end for her.
Yvonne was the kind of person who didn’t care about anything as long as she had money to spend. She didn’t bother thinking too much. All she knew was that Eliana was seriously impressive.
She still wanted to marry Spencer, but he refused to meet her.
Chloe, Spencer’s mother, wasn’t happy with her after what happened last time.
Her reputation tanked after the piano competition, and she became a laughingstock in her circle.
Now, she’d basically given up, just letting things go to hell.
With her dad giving her 15 grand a month, she figured that was more than enough to get by.
The two of them found a coffee shop and sat down. Eliana ordered a latte.
Every time Eliana thought about Serena and Dylan heading upstairs together, her heart was overflowing with jealousy.
All because of what Beatrice said, Eliana spent her high school years pushing herself to the limit. She pulled all–nighters, grinding away at her studies, just to be good enough for Dylan and get a little closer to him.
Every time she saw her top grades, every time Dylan seemed to be a bit closer to her, she’d be over the moon. Every time she got her report card, her eyes always rimmed red with emotion.
She hated that Dylan got into that accident so suddenly.
Her dreams for the future were shattered by the fact that Dylan had been crippled.
With Dylan doting on her, she was the princess of her world. His obvious favoritism made her feel like she could do anything without consequence.
Thinking back on those happy days, her eyes grew misty with tears. She never thought she’d be the one being abandoned. when the dream ended. Eliana sat there, lost in thought as she stared out at the pouring rain.
All she could picture was Serena and Dylan leaving together.
The sixth floor of the mall was the food court.

Chapter 370
Since Dylan’s stomach was upset, Serena chose a place with bland food.
Dylan noticed her thoughtfulness, and a smile tugged at his lips.
They ordered their favorite dishes and sat across from each other by the window.
Outside, the rain was coming down in sheets, pounding against the windows with a deafening roar.

Serena just couldn’t get it. Seriously, when had she ever seen rain this crazy in the middle of winter? This was a first for her. As soon as the rain stopped, snow would start falling all night long.
Dylan watched her as she stared out the window. There was something serene and lovely about her when she was quiet.
It’d been so long since they just sat together like this.
“Stella, what have you been up to lately?” Dylan asked.
Serena came back to her senses and replied, “Just busy with work
Serena didn’t hate Dylan anymore. Her son was back with her, and honestly, that was enough to heal all the hurt she’d been through.
Dylan was so dumb. She couldn’t be bothered to hate someone like that. It’d just make her look petty.
She could finally face him peacefully. Being able to stay so calm around him probably meant she was over him for good.
