At Dylan’s words, Serena froze visibly, and the last shred of reason in her mind snapped.

She spoke, her tone icy. “Dylan, you never had any expectations of me in the first place, so how could I disappoint you?

“I know you’re an idiot, but don’t drag the rest of us down with you. And you still have the nerve to feel smug in front of me. The evidence is right there, yet you don’t even dare to believe it.

“I’d say there’s something seriously wrong with your brain. Go see a doctor. There are so many doctors in this world, one of them is bound to be able to cure you.”

Spencer laughed out of sheer anger.

Yolanda could not help but chuckle.

Dylan had not expected Stella to be this sharp–tongued.

Serena went on, “Dylan, do you remember something I once said to you? Everything in this world comes at a hidden price. What you owe will eventually be paid back.

“You’ve been betrayed before, plotted against, and you almost lost your life. And yet now, you’re still this naive when it comes to trusting people?

“Remember this. Everything you lose in the future will be caused by your own ignorance. It has nothing to do

with me.”

After speaking calmly, Serena turned and walked into the private room.

Dylan stood there, staring blankly at her indifferent back.

He laughed in anger. ‘Stella is calling me ignorant?‘ he thought.

A sense of dread crept into Eliana’s heart.

‘When I get back tonight, I need to discuss a plan with Mrs. Ashford to kill Stella, she thought viciously. ‘I absolutely can’t let my secrets be exposed. If that happens, my life will be over.

Everything Eliana had now was built on that so–called life–saving favor, along with Beatrice’s secret support.

Once Dylan learned the truth, Eliana would never be able to marry him.

Spencer shot Dylan a warning look, then entered the private room with Yolanda.
