Spencer raised an eyebrow at Yolanda and asked in confusion, “Ms. Lane, why do you trust me so much?”
He had tried to cooperate with Kismet Bar before, but the person in charge had never shown up.
He knew very well that Yolanda was not the real decision–maker.
Spencer had spent several months investigating who actually controlled Kismet Bar, yet he still came up empty–handed.
The true person in power behind Kismet Bar was extremely mysterious.
Yolanda glanced at Serena and smiled softly. “Mr. Grant, Ms. Hale trusts you, and I’ve also looked into your business practices. You’ve always been known for your integrity, so the company decided to work with you.”
Spencer looked at Stella, his gaze gentle, warmth spilling across his handsome face. “Stella, thank you for trusting me.”
‘Stella, if we hadn’t missed each other at the hospital back then, would things have turned out differently?‘ Spencer thought with a bitter smile. ‘Dylan doesn’t cherish you, yet you are someone I can never have.
Serena had known Spencer for four years. They had not met often, but she understood what kind of person he was. Their cooperation and contract signing went very smoothly.
A faint trace of melancholy lingered between Serena’s brows as she smiled calmly. “Spencer, there’s no need to thank me. What I trust is your products.
“Over the years, your products have expanded overseas, especially your newly developed beer. I hope it can be supplied exclusively to Kismet Bar.”
Spencer agreed immediately. “Alright. From now on, we’ll supply only Kismet Bar.”
Serena smiled gratefully as they signed the contract.
After the contract was signed, Spencer still had an important company meeting to attend, so he left first.
Yolanda hurried back to the bar to handle other matters.
Serena sat alone in the private room, closed her eyes, and rested for a moment. ‘It’s already too late today. I can only investigate the child’s situation tomorrow,‘ she thought.
The image of Liam crying and calling her “Mom” surfaced again in her mind.
‘How could a child who’s almost three years old mistake his own mother?‘ Serena wondered.
Back then, Serena had gone to the hospital to give birth alone. The only people who knew about it were Dylan and Beatrice.
Dylan had been away on a business trip at the time and did not make it back in time.

After Serena gave birth, Beatrice arrived at the hospital. Only after Beatrice arrived did a nurse rush over and tell Serena that her baby had died.
Serena had just gone through childbirth. The blow of losing her child left her completely shattered. She personally sent the baby for cremation and held the funeral all by herself.
Serena covered her face and wept in pain. In truth, the baby had been very healthy and had cried loudly at birth. She could never understand why the child had died.
But Beatrice’s strange attitude yesterday had caught Serena’s attention. When Liam called her “Mom“, Serena felt something indescribable stir in her heart. She could not shake the feeling that Liam was her son.
Yet back then, the only person by her side had been Beatrice.
‘If there really is something hidden in all this,‘ Serena thought, a flash of killing intent crossing her mind, ‘then Mrs. Ashford must be on high alert. How can I make them lower their guard?‘
