As Serena worked, she said, “Richard, the herbs I brought are enough, and they can all help with detoxification. Please keep all the food from tonight’s dinner.”
Richard, his eyes cold yet grateful, looked at the busy Serena and said, “Serena, we kept all the dishes. We all had dinner together with Dad, but only he was poisoned. The rest of us are fine.”
Serena didn’t say anything. Watching Logan suffer from the poison, her eyes were shadowed with an unfathomable intensity.
‘Such a vicious poison, Serena thought.
Serena told everyone to clear the room and give her space.
She took out her medical needles and began the acupuncture, giving Logan the antidote three times during the process. She was drenched in sweat from the effort.

She would stick to the gentlest treatment she could manage.

“He has been in good health. We all had dinner together tonight, and since it’s Christmas, I made sure to serve him every dish myself, just like we always do.
“The only thing he had separately was his wine.”
“He was perfectly fine after dinner, even handed out gifts to us younger ones.
“Then he just collapsed. After Dad fainted, I didn’t dare move him, so I let him stay on the couch.”
Richard called the butler over and had him bring the glass that had been drunk from earlier so Serena could

Serena was stunned, feeling as if her heart had just taken a heavy blow.
“The poison was in the wine. It’s really strong,” Serena said.
The Tanzanite was what kept Logan alive.
Richard’s eyes burned with hatred. He said, “It must have been my uncle who sent someone to do this.”
He clenched his fists, his eyes full of mixed emotions.
He thought, ‘Logan and Jonathan had been at odds their whole lives.
