Spencer’s voice came quickly and eagerly. “Stella, then let’s celebrate tomorrow night. I’ll pick the restaurant and send you the address.”
Serena didn’t understand why Spencer sounded so excited, but agreed anyway. She needed to get out more and forget the past. “Okay. See you tomorrow night,” she said.
Spencer’s tone instantly softened, full of warmth. “Stella, I’m really glad you chose to work with me. Thank you for trusting me.”
“Spencer, no need to thank me. It’s because your wine is of great quality that this partnership happened. That’s the whole point of our collaboration,” Serena replied.
Having tasted Spencer’s wines several times, Serena knew the Grant family winery used only authentic ingredients.
She loved the Grant family’s white wine, lightly crisp, refreshing without bitterness. Combined with Julian’s expert mixology skills, the business was bound to thrive.
After chatting a while longer, Serena hung up.

Serena replaced the messy thoughts in her head with her career plans.
Sure enough, that night she slept deeply and peacefully.
She woke naturally, refreshed, and in better spirits than ever.
Serena had Kismet Bar to handle, plus many other things waiting for her attention.
After changing clothes, she looked at herself in the mirror, in a sleek light gray suit. Every gesture radiated her innate nobility. Her eyes were alluring, with upturned corners and effortless charm. Serena smiled with

“Ms. Hale, you’re up. Breakfast is ready. This morning I made your favorite cream of mushroom soup,” Bennett said warmly.
“Thanks, Bennett,” Serena said, sitting down to eat.
After breakfast, Chris arrived to take Serena to the company.
They used the private elevator to the office.
But Serena still ran into Xavier Fallon and several company executives on the top floor.
They were playing cards in the lounge early in the morning.
“Xavier, don’t you think it’s inappropriate to be doing this up here? I heard head office sent people over,” someone said.
