Jasper never in his wildest dreams expected Dylan to be standing right there. His heart raced with fear. “M- Mr. Ashford?”

‘With Eliana around, Dylan is mine to control,‘ Jasper thought with a calculating gleam.

Fearing Jasper might do something reckless, Eliana couldn’t help but warn him. “Dad, if you don’t manage the company properly, I’ll cut ties with the Lambert family. Dylan doesn’t have any money left now.”

Jasper lowered his brows slightly, watching her angry figure leave, and sneered inwardly, “Thinking she can ignore the Lambert family? Those things she did years ago have already become her leverage. Does she really have any room to refuse? No chance.’

The events from years ago were enough to force Eliana into becoming Jasper’s tool for making money.

Jasper shook his head and sighed faintly. ‘A daughter will eventually marry out and no longer belong to us. A son is better. At least he cares about me,‘ he wondered.
