Serena shifted her posture elegantly, hiding every flicker of emotion in her eyes. A faint, teasing smile curved at the corners, graceful and utterly captivating.
“Dylan, if such a thing happens again, I swear I’ll tear your mouth apart. We’re done with each other, completely. Get out. And don’t come here to disgust me,” Serena said, her voice sharp but poised.
Dylan watched her tremble with anger and knew she was genuinely mad. Finally, he left.
He and Stella were divorced. From now on, their lives would run in entirely separate directions.
No matter who she was, their paths would never cross again.
Yet the more Dylan thought about it, the more unsettled he felt.
The idea of parting ways for good made his chest tighten as if he couldn’t breathe.
After Dylan left, Serena pulled out a wet wipe and carefully cleaned her lips, which he had kissed. What she had once eagerly anticipated now made her feel utterly nauseated.
“Ms. Hale, go ahead and start your dinner. Mr. Ellington will be here shortly, and Mr. Grant doesn’t have time at the moment,” Chris said, pushing the dinner tray in.
Serena returned to her usual composure and joined Chris for the meal.
After dinner, Logan had already arrived at the party hall.
Spencer came along, and together with Chris, Serena went to the hall to congratulate Logan.
In the opulent hall, Logan stood in a deep purple tuxedo suit. His gray hair framed a face full of wrinkles, yet he exuded vigor.
Despite the lines, his face held a loving smile, but those sharp, experienced eyes revealed the cunning of a man who had seen it all, a legend of Kingsbridge’s older generation.
Everyone was presenting their gifts.
Dylan had just finished giving his when he noticed an elegant figure approaching.
Eliana’s gaze darkened as she spotted Serena.
Logan, seeing Serena, nudged his eldest grandson, Wyatt Ellington. “Wyatt, go say hello.”
Wyatt’s handsome face showed a faint, helpless smile. Charming and mysterious when he smiled, he walked toward Serena with graceful steps.
“Grandpa, I’m coming now,” he said.
Wyatt walked to Serena, his step grace. “Serena, it’s been a long time.”

Serena’s eyes sparkled as she looked at the increasingly dashing Wyatt. It had been years since they last met
When did you get back?” she asked.
Wyatt had been studying abroad.
“For my grandpa’s birthday. I came back despite my busy schedule. I have a flight early tomorrow. When did you return?” Wyatt replied.
It had been three years since anyone had heard from Serena.
“A few days ago,” she said.
After marrying Dylan under a hidden name, Serena had become a housewife. In their eyes, she had effectively left Kingsbridge behind.
Dylan, watching the two of them, felt a dark shadow settle in his devilish eyes. ‘How do these two even know each other?‘ he wondered.
Serena introduced Spencer. “Wyatt, this is Spencer Grant. You know Chris, so I won’t bother introducing him.
Wyatt shook Spencer’s hand and greeted him politely.
After the brief introduction, Spencer and Serena approached Logan.
Serena handed Logan a gift. “Mr. Ellington, this is for you.”
She offered a delicate purple brocade box.
Logan eagerly opened it to find a crystal bracelet with a faint medicine scent.
He loved it. Looking at Serena with affection, he said, “Serena, you must have put a lot of thought into this gift.”
Serena smiled, “Mr. Ellington, for your gift, I should indeed put more thought into it.”
