Chapter 78
Serena’s lips curved into a cold smile. “Does my identity matter now, Dylan? I remember every single cruel thing you did to me.”
She turned to leave.
But Eliana, who had been waiting downstairs, rushed over to block her path.
“Stella, wait, I need to talk to you.” Eliana stood beside her, radiating anger.
Serena frowned and took a quick step back, her disgust plain on her face. “If you have something to say, say it from a distance. I don’t want to catch whatever you have.”
A flash of malice crossed Eliana’s eyes. “Stella, did you set up what happened at Dylan’s bar?”
Her father’s men had photographed Serena’s driver near the Kismet Bar.
It had to be her.
Serena arched a brow. “You have proof?”
Eliana shoved her phone toward Stella. “This is your driver, Chris, isn’t it? He was right near the ba me he was just out for a drink when your company owns its own establishments.”
“Is it a crime to walk down a street?” Serena retorted.
Eliana gritted her teeth. She didn’t have any real evidence.
In the video, Chris really was just passing by.
Serena turned to Dylan, who was watching them silently from the shadows, his gaze deep and unreadable. “Dylan, your bar gets busted for selling counterfeit liquor, and you’re blaming me?”
Seeing the unfamiliar coldness in her eyes, a surge of frustration rose in Dylan. He blurted out, “You once said you’d bring me to my knees. Maybe Eliana’s right.”
It had all happened so fast, he hadn’t had time to consider who was really behind it.
Serena laughed and admitted it without missing a beat. “Remember when you sent those men after me in the alley, Dylan? This is my revenge. I’m the one who reported your bar.”
Eliana stared, completely shocked, her voice sharp and barely restrained. “Stella, you really did it? Dylan has worked so hard these years. He doesn’t love you, so why can’t you just let him go?”
‘The alley? What was she talking about?‘ Eliana’s mind raced.
It couldn’t have been Dylan; it wasn’t his style.
Then it hit her. Her father.

Chapter 78
‘Dammit, Jasper,‘ Eliana thought, her stomach dropping. ‘Can’t he just stay out of things’s?‘ she cursed inwardly.
Dylan’s expression flickered, a sardonic smile touching his lips. “Stella, I told you. That wasn’t me.”
“Even if it wasn’t you, it was someone close to you. It doesn’t matter. Everything you did to me hurt me deeply. So now, I’m going to take back everything I ever gave you.

“I can’t just let my child’s death be for nothing. I want revenge for him. Remember that lubricant you bought? The one that just disappeared right before I miscarried.
“Our marriage was a contract, the baby an accident. But you couldn’t even spare that accident. Dylan, why on earth should I let you go?”
Every word was deliberate, laced with sorrow.
She said it all for Eliana’s benefit, knowing it would get back to Dylan’s mother, Beatrice.
