I had just started entertaining the thought of building my own thing when my phone rang. Damon had told me that I should think of something I would like to specialise in. Something that I love, but I wasn’t sure yet.

I picked up the call and placed it to my ear.

“Girl, were you trying to avoid my call?” she asked immediately after I picked up the call. I was still surprised by how outspoken she was now; I can’t believe that Lex used to be so quiet. When I confronted her about it, she told me she wasn’t like that with people she was comfortable with, and I was glad she added me to the list.

“Girl no. I’ve been lost in thoughts.” I replied to er.

“Oh? Did Damon do something?” she asked immediately, and I raised an eyebrow even though I knew she couldn’t see me.

“And am I only allowed to be lost in thoughts when he does something? He doesn’t revolve around my world, please.” I said and arranged the documents I was reviewing beforehand.
