How come things are going this way? I don’t want Eloise to keep getting these good comments, but it seems there’s nothing I can do about it because people just like her, and I hate her for it.

The whole plan when we came up with this contest thing was to disgrace and embarrass Eloise in the presence of the entire werewolf world, but it only made them love her, and I hate it so much.

Reading the comment section right now was annoying, but I just couldn’t stop. It’s as if there’s an itch that wants to know what’s going on.

“Eloise is such a queen. I can’t wait for the grand ceremony tomorrow.”

“And did you people see Summer’s poor acting skills? She’s so pathetic, and she thinks people are not on to her game, but we are.”

“I still think Summer was the one who pushed Eloise off that cliff because she’s just a hater who loves to ruin things and people. How could she do that to her own sister?”

“Well, I will always stand by Eloise no matter what,” another comment read.

“Why do they like her? They are supposed to hate her, she’s a rogue for crying out fucking loud,” I screamed, hitting my hand on the dashboard of the car.

“Easy now. I told you to stay off the internet. It would do you no good right now. What you need is to get home, see your family, eat a good meal, and sleep in your own bed, where you haven’t been in weeks, okay? Stop reading the comments, Summer. They will only make you feel weird and bad.” Julian said, his eyes fixed on the road.

“But I can’t help it. I know that people out there don’t like me, and I hate it. They were supposed to fall in love with me and make Eloise’s life a living hell. Even my friends, Dolly and Natalie, who knew me before the contest, now see me as an idiot. What could I have done differently? Maybe play too nice?” I asked my brother, who just tapped his index finger on the steering wheel.

“I don’t know. It has happened, and there’s nothing you can do about it. You didn’t have any control over the situation, but now you do have control over how you can approach things moving forward. Because you can plan better on how to eliminate Eloise from society perfectly this time around,” Julian said.

Definitely, I needed to do better. But that wouldn’t stop me from reading these brutal comments and the stares I’ve been dealing with from people. Crazy stares, it feels like they are trying to burn a hole through my skull or something.

“You know, mum and dad missed you a lot. Mum hasn’t even been sleeping properly since you left for the contest, and now that you’re back home, she would feel much better.” Julian said, and I rolled my eyes inwardly.

Of course, those people are dramatic as hell, but hey, what complaints did I have? I have a roof over my head and money to spend, so I’m fine.

“Ive missed them too,” I said, trying not to sound irritated or rude.

“Good, because we are pulling up to the house right now,” he said as he pulled into the driveway of the familiar environment that I’ve grown accustomed to.

“Oh, I need to take a long shower,” I told Julian as I got out of the car and rushed into the house.

The moment I opened the door, both mum and dad were waiting for me by the door with a massive smile on their faces.

“There is my baby girl.” My dad said, and I smiled.

“Hi, Dad,” I said, hugging him. He placed a kiss on my forehead after the hug, and I tried not to cringe.

“Oh my gosh. You must have really had a hard time. You have lost so much weight, Summer. I need to start feeding you up,” my mother said, and I nodded.

“Yeah, I do need to eat.”

“Good, because your mother has prepared a buffet for your return.”

“Thanks, mum,” I told her, and she curled her hand in my hair.

“Make sure you take a long shower and have your hair washed.”

“Alright, mum. But what are we going to do about this whole Eloise situation?” I asked.

“Well, I’m handling it,” Julian said.

“But you keep saying that, and I’m the one who is being bashed by the pack members and by all the wolves all over the world.”
