Winston’s face lit up. “Really? You can get in touch with them? That’s great! If they’re on board, they’ll find whoever we need in no time. I’ll leave it to you then.”

Emma smiled. “No problem. Everyone in the sect is caught up with the Mornwick–Listin Martial Arts Championship prep anyway. I’ve got some free time, so I’ll take this as an excuse for a little break.”

Winston relaxed at that. Emma’s taking care of it gave him peace of mind; he trusted her to get it done right, and he didn’t want to look unreliable.

At the Crestgate of Mornwick, the Halloway family was preparing to welcome some VIPs. Gale, the family patriarch, stepped outside to welcome them.

At the entrance stood the striking Emma, her gaze steady yet captivating. The guards couldn’t help but stare, mesmerized by her beauty. Next to her stood a young man, arms crossed, carrying himself with superiority. He barely glanced at the Halloway Residence, obviously unimpressed.

Both wore white coats with a flame logo split into three sections on their chests.

Gale smiled courteously. “It’s an honor to welcome guests from the Tri–Peak Sect!”

The young man gave a slight nod, barely acknowledging Gale.

Emma, though, smiled back and bowed slightly. “Mr. Halloway, I’m Emma Reyne from the Tri- Peak Sect, and this is my senior, Elias Sebastian. Apologies for dropping in unannounced.”

Nearby, Ivy was quietly observing. She thought to herself, That’s Emma Reyne? Dad just mentioned to Leander last night–one of the Four Beauties in the Astria martial arts world.

Ivy studied Emma, amazed by her grace and beauty. No wonder she has such a reputation.

“So, it’s Miss Reyne and Mr. Sebastian; please come in!”

Gale, a little surprised but keeping it hidden, led them inside.

Once they were seated, Emma cut to the chase. “Mr. Halloway, I need a favor from you.”

Emma slid a photo across the table and explained, “Mr. Halloway, I need you to help me find this guy in Mornwick.”

Gale looked down at the photo, his eyes narrowing slightly. Even though the picture wasn’t clear, he could still recognize Leander.

Since Gale was looking down, Emma and Elias didn’t notice the shift in his expression. He quickly calmed himself before lifting his head and asking carefully, “Miss Reyne, finding someone in Mornwick isn’t a big deal for us, but can I ask why you’re looking for him?”

Before Emma could respond, Elias interjected, his irritation palpable. “That doesn’t concern you. Just do what we asked.”

Gale’s expression tightened in response to his words.

Gale clenched his jaw but hid his frustration. He knew he couldn’t risk upsetting the Tri–Peak Sect, too powerful with a Martial Sovereign in their ranks. Although Elias, their chief disciple, might not measure up to the Twin Stars of Highcliffe or the Three Brilliants and Four Beauties, he was undoubtedly one of the finest talents of his generation. If he were to be provoked, no one from the Halloway family could hope to restrain him.

Sensing the tension, Emma glanced at Elias and flashed a friendly smile at Gale. “It’s nothing major, just personal, Mr. Halloway.”

“Understood,” Gale said with a nod.

He then offered, “I’ll have my people start searching immediately. You’re welcome to stay here until we find something.”

Emma smiled in approval and pulled out a small, ornate box. “Thank you for your help. This is a little gift–an energy pill crafted by my master. It’s not rare, but it strengthens the body and mind.”

Gale accepted it gratefully, then arranged for their accommodations.

After they left, Gale immediately called Leander.

In the middle of a meeting with Frankie at Leandrix Corp, Leander picked up the call absentmindedly.

Gale’s voice immediately came through the phone. “Is this Mr. Ashcroft?”

“Yes. What can I do for you, Mr. Halloway?” Leander replied casually.

Emma paused momentarily before adding, “As for your engagement to Maeve, consider it officially over.”
