Chapter 232 Tear Damian to Pieces
Olivia’s POV

Gasps of air caught in my chest as Damian squeezed. He looked completely fera!, his features twisted in a savage grimace as his wolf form began to break through. Everyone in the Pack Alliance knew how brutal and ruthless Damian could be, and right now, my own wolf could feel the genuine urge to kill radiating off him.
“Damian,” I choked out, absolute terror gripping me. “What… what are you doing?
Damian’s eyes were like ice, his voice dropping to a low, lethal register. “I told you, Olivia, I don’t care what you do with Kade. But if you dare target Nira, I will make you regret ever being born.”
The pressure on my windpipe was agonizing, leaving me barely able to breathe.
“Da… Damian,” I gasped, desperately pleading through the pain. “I… I get it… Please… let me go…”
Damian finally shoved me away, releasing his grip.
I collapsed onto the ground, coughing and drawing in huge, desperate gulps of air. Watching his retreating figure, I wanted nothing more than to surrender control to my wolf and spring forward to tear him to pieces.
But the reality was bitter: I stood no chance against him. He was a cunning, dangerous Lycan–someone even Kade wouldn’t be entirely confident in defeating. All I could do was grit my teeth and glare at his back, cursing him under my breath. Psychopath!
Kade’s POV
I hadn’t seen Nira for what felt like ages and was growing increasingly worried. When she finally walked back in, a wave of relief washed over me, and I immediately hurried over to her. “Nira, where have you been?”
“Just walking around,” she replied, her tone strikingly cold.
Before I could say anything else, she brushed right past me and headed toward Tessa. “Tessa, why didn’t you wait for me?”
She didn’t look back at me once.
I could feel a sudden, palpable distance between us, but I had absolutely no idea what had gone wrong. Anxiety gnawed at me. Over the next little while, I tried to get her alone to talk things through, but every single time, she shut me down with one excuse or
another.
What on earth was wrong with her?

Olivia took in the whole situation, secretly thrilled by what felt like a stroke of pure luck. Capitalizing on the moment, she suggested they all join the winery’s treasure hunt.
To celebrate opening day, the winery had set up a few casual games. For the treasure hunt, several wine–related trinkets had been hidden across the property, and everyone would split into teams to find them, with the group collecting the most items winning
the game.

Kade’s POV
I watched Nira standing there, completely still. Just as I started heading toward her, Olivia cut me off
Looking up at me with a desperate, eager–to–please expression, Olivia asked, “Kade, want to team up?”
Her presence alone irritated me. Nira was still freezing me out, and I had absolutely no patience for Olivia right now. I kept my eyes. locked on Nira, but she refused to look up at me.
At that exact moment, Damian walked over to Nira and offered, “Nira, why don’t we partner up?”
Nira looked up at him and, to my dismay, actually nodded. “Sure,” she said.
Her definitive answer made my heart plummet, and my brow furrowed instantly. I stared at the two of them, a crushing sense of disappointment washing over me. My fists clenched tightly at my sides, and a primal urge surged within me to hand control over to Odin so he could tear Damian to pieces.
I wanted to say something, anything, but seeing that Nira still wouldn’t even glance my way, the words died in my throat.
Olivia’s voice snapped me back to reality. “Kade, since Nira is already with Damian, we might as well get started. Let’s not waste time.”
I didn’t even bother answering her. My gaze remained fixed on Nira, a heavy, suffocating ache settling in my chest.
Across from us, Tessa saw Nira and Damian teaming up and immediately chimed in. “Count me in too! A trio sounds perfect.”
Damian smiled. “Sounds like a plan. Let’s head out.”
Tessa shot a smug glance in our direction, intentionally raising her voice. “We’re definitely winning this!”
Standing nearby, Zane gave me an incredibly apologetic look. I knew what he had been trying to do; he wanted to use the game to
୮ help patch things up between Nira and me. Instead, it had only made everything worse.
I gave him a subtle shake of my head to let him know it was fine. This was between Nira and me, and we had to figure it out ourselves. The real problem was that she wouldn’t even give me the time of day.
“Kade, let’s go. We can’t let them get a head start,” Olivia’s grating voice buzzed in my ear again.
Unable to take it anymore, I turned and stormed off in the opposite direction.
