When word came that Noah had begun tightening the net, Damon was already pacing restlessly in his study. His phone suddenly lost service, cutting off all contact with his overseas partners.

“What the hell is going on?” He slammed the phone down in frustration, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

At that moment, the butler rushed in, panicked. “Mr. Soren, it’s bad–all our partners have been seized by military forces!”

Damon’s face went pale. Everything clicked into place. He spun around and bolted from the room to find Nira.

But as soon as he burst out of the study, he saw her standing calmly at the top of the staircase. watching him with ice in her eyes.

Seeing the murderous fury in Damon’s eyes as he charged at me, I didn’t move an inch.

With a subtle gesture of my hand, a squad of fully armed soldiers stormed into the Soren

The commanding officer barked sharply at Damon, “Stop right there!”

But before he could reach me, the high–ranking wolf–warriors stationed around him moved with trained precision, pinning him down effortlessly.

Just as the military secured the scene, Janice appeared on the second–floor landing.

In one hand, she held a vial glowing with an eerie blue light; in the other, she had Jenna locked in a chokehold.

“Nobody move!” she screamed. “This contains X–39–a witch–modified virus lethal to werewolves. If I drop it, everyone in this room dies, rank or not!”

“Janice, what are you doing?” Aven’s face went sheet–white as he saw his mother held hostage. He stumbled forward. “Have you lost your mind? That’s our mom!”

Janice didn’t loosen her grip. The vial glinted coldly under the moonlight.

“I didn’t have a choice, Aven. If you want to blame someone, blame Nira. She’s the one who pushed me to this.” She shot a venomous look in my direction.

I met her gaze steadily and laughed without warmth. “What did I do to you? You posed as Dr. Beyond and poisoned seventeen patients. You nearly endangered every wolf in the Pack Alliance. Every bit of that was your own doing.”

Aven stared at Janice in horror, struggling to believe it. “You’re Dr. Beyond?”

Janice shrugged, completely unbothered. “That’s right. I am.”

Aven looked as if he’d been struck. His lips trembled. “Then everything you told me…”

“All lies!” Janice let out a sharp, unstable laugh, the vial shaking in her hand. “Did you really think I’d ever fall for someone like you, Aven? A pathetic excuse for a wolf?”

Aven staggered back as if physically hit. “What… what did you say?”

“Did you honestly believe I’d lower myself to play along with you, just to get back at Nira?” Janice curled her lip in disgust. “Every time you touched me, it made my skin crawl.”

Hearing this, Jenna began trembling violently, murky tears streaking her face. “This is a curse… my punishment for everything…”

Trembling, he pointed at Janice. “So those patients… it really was you…”

“Yes!” Janice lifted her chin defiantly. “If that bitch Nira hadn’t interfered, my plan would’ve worked weeks ago!”

Then she let out a low, unnerving chuckle. “But you know what? This is even better now…”

Suddenly, she shoved Jenna forward and pressed a syringe against her neck. “Everyone back off! Now, or I inject her with the virus!”
