Nira’s POV:
He kept muttering. “Natalie… Natalie…”

“I’m right here.” Natalie hurried to the bedside, took Killian’s hand, and said softly, “You’re really sick. Nira just treated you with acupuncture, so try not to move yet.”
Seeing her, Killian visibly relaxed.
He squeezed her hand back weakly. “I woke up for a bit earlier. One of Jack’s guys told me you went to restos Desmond and the others.
“Now that you’re back… were you hurt? How are they doing?”
As he finished asking, he looked up and met my eyes.
Immediately, his eyes widened in shock. A trembling hand rose, pointing straight at me. “You… you…”
Natalie glanced toward me, then gave Killian’s shoulder a reassuring pat. “This is Ms. Nira Soren. She knows medicine. She came with Desmond to help us–and she’s the one who just saved you.”
“Hello, Mr. Hawke. I’m Nira.” I greeted him politely. “Try not to worry–the worst is over. Right now, you just need rest and recovery.
“Once we’re out of this magnetically disrupted zone and you reconnect with your wolf spirit, your body will heal much faster.”
Killian kept staring at me, his expression still dazed and startled.
I offered him a calm smile, stepped closer to check his pulse, and after a moment said, “Your pulse is steady, yet your inner vitality and bodily circulation are depleted. You’ll require more sessions to restore balance.”
Then I took a few herbs from my medical kit. “I’ll go prepare some herbal medicine.”

Third–Person POV:
After Nira left, Natalie held her husband’s hand. “Killian… doesn’t she feel… strangely familiar to you?”
Killian frowned slightly. “Natalie, our daughter passed away twenty years ago. And we did run a DNA test back then.”
“I know, but…” Natalie still couldn’t shake the feeling.
“If you’re still uncertain,” Killian said gently, “once we get back and things settle, the Hudson family’s wolf spirits should be able to sense any blood relation. Right?”
“I suppose that’s the only way…” Natalie conceded reluctantly.
Killian remained skeptical about Nira’s appearance–otherwise, it was all just too coincidental.
He knew his wife had never fully recovered from losing their daughter all those years ago, so he chose his words carefully. “What do you know about this Ms. Soren so far?”

Natafle shook her head. “We’ve only just met. She heard how sick you were and came back with me immediately to help.”
Killian’s brow furrowed thoughtfully,“Then we trust thank her property.”

Nira’s POV:
I was grinding herbs in a makeshift shelter when Natalie approached.
She looked at me with clear admiration. “Ms. Soren, you’re so young, yet your medical skills are extraordinary. Who taught you?”
I paused, then replied quietly, “When I was six, a deranged lone wolf kept me tocked in a cage. My adoptive father saved me?”
Pushing down the swirl of emotions inside, I kept my voice steady. “After that, he took me in and taught me everything he knew- including medicine.”
A flicker of pity immediately crossed Natalie’s eyes.
“When I turned eighteen,” I continued, crushing herbs as I spoke, “I learned my birth parents were from the Blazeborn Pack. Sol went searching for them without hesitation. But after I returned, the Soren family favored the daughter they’d raised since childhood. She framed me for murder to get rid of me, and I was sent to prison for five years.”
Even recounting it now, a sharp ache shot through my chest.
I offered a bitter smile. “It wasn’t until last year that I found out… I was never truly a Soren.”
The wooden grinding tool clinked crisply through the still night air as I crushed the medicinal mixture within its bowl.
Natalie was already crying, tears streaming quietly down her face. She reached out a trembling hand, stopping just short of touching my shoulder.
In that moment, my heart sank
