Chapter 353 Forging the Results
Third Person POV

Killan held the thick file in his hands. As he scanned the paternity test linking Mica to the Soren family, his broww furrowed
The document confirmed she was indeed a Soren by blood, which meant Mira hadn’t been truthful
Me continued reading, his expression growing darker. Page after page detailed how the Soren family had always favored Janice over Nita. To shield Janice, they had set Nira up, sending her to prison for five years.
Killian kept going, learning how Nira had used her medical skills to perform near-miracles, repeatedly saving lives
He read that, even after losing her wolf spirit, she had carved out a place for herself in the upper echelons of various packs through sheer grit and talent, earning their respect.
From all this, Killian quickly pieced together that Nira was likely a person of integrity and compassion.
As for her claim of being abducted by Lila’s associates-that trail had gone cold. The investigation hadn’t turned up any solid leads.
What still gave Killian pause was that both Nira and Kade had brought up Lila.
The history between those three stretched back over two decades. If they hadn’t actually crossed paths with Lila, there was no way they could have known the details.
But Nira also insisted Lila was already dead. With no living witnesses, their entire story was impossible to verify.
Then there was Richard, who was indeed Lila’s brother. The timeline of when he started targeting them lined up perfectly with the date of Lila’s death Nira had provided.
The idea that he was seeking revenge for his sister fit.
Killian paced his study, the papers in his hand crumpling under his grip.
Outside the window, the night was deep, but sleep felt miles away.
The next morning, a business issue flared up with the Wildgust Pack, requiring Killian’s personal attention.
Before boarding his flight, he handed a sealed envelope to his assistant, Dina. “In three days, my wife is going to the clinic for a paternity test. Get this to Dr. Wood before then. He’ll know what it’s for.”
Dina took the envelope and offered a professional smile. “Understood.”
After seeing Killian off, she settled into her car, the envelope resting on the passenger seat. A flicker of hesitation crossed her mind, but curiosity won out. She quickly opened it.
Inside was a paternity test report. Dina’s eyes went straight to the final page. The bolded conclusion “PATERNITY ESTABLISHED”
stared back at her.
The boss had just said Natalie’s test was in three days. So this ready-made report had to be fabricated.

But had that child died shortlyalter
Se who was this Nira, then?
A gentle drone from the car’s air conditioning hung in the quiet, Dina staring blankly ahead, swallowed by her own thoughts.
An hour later, she walked into Jason Wood’s office.
