Chapter 363 The Ambassador’s Return
Third Person POV:
“Doctor! We need help over here!’
The minister’s shout rang down the corridor, Medical staff rushed over and flited the unconscious Nira onto a gumey
Kade stayed right beside her, his shirt smeared with her blood. He stared at her face, pale as parchment, and clenched his fists uns his knuckles turned bone white.
If it were up to him, he would have ordered his pack to drag out whoever did this and tear them apart on the spot.
But this was Meridia, not his own territory. As an Alpha King heir, he had to restrang himself-no matter how much every instinct screamed to act.
Thirty minutes later, the doctor emerged with a grim expression. “Ms. Soren has been poisoned, just like the Ambassador. We’ve stabil zed her for now, but she won’t be waking up anytime soon.”
“How… how did this happen?” Kade staggered back a step.
Quentin was still fighting the poison, and now the one person who might have found an antidote was lying unconscious too.
“Do whatever it takes to save her,” the minister ordered, his voice sharp with urgency.
The ER light flicked on above the doors, washing the hallway in an urgent crimson glow. Kade slid down the wall and sat heavily on the floor. Only then did he notice his hands were trembling uncontrollably.
Edmund hurried in, his forehead glistening with cold sweat. “I just heard about the attack-is Nira…?”
“She’s in emergency surgery,” the minister replied, worry etched deep into his features. “The toxin used… it’s likely the same one that targeted Quentin.”
Before he could finish, the minister’s aide burst into the hallway, panic in his eyes. “Sir-bad news. The plane carrying the medical supplies… it’s gone down.”
“What?!” Edmund and Kade exclaimed in unison.
The aide’s face was ashen. “We just got word. The aircraft disappeared from radar about twenty miles from the embassy. Search teams found the wreckage… there were no survivors.”
Kade pushed himself up from the floor, grabbed the aide by the collar, and demanded, “The medicine-what about the medicine?”
Terrified by Kade’s frantic intensity, the aide stammered, “It’s… all lost, sir. Everything.”

Meanwhile, elsewhere…
A harsh, grating laugh cut through the dim room. “You’re certain that woman-Ms. Soren-is poisoned?”
“Yes, sir. The report just came in.”

The press conference hall was packed cameras flashing nonstop. It was scheduled for 10 am, but fifteen minutes had passed with no sign of the Ambassador. Reporters began murmuring among themselves,
sway past time. Where’s Quentin?”
“He’s always been punctual before.”
“I heard a rumor the conference might be canceled.”
“Could this affect the ceasefire between Meridia and Eastria?”

In the crowd, a man in a baseball cap leaned toward the reporter beside him and whispered, “My cousin works at the embassy. They say Quentin’s already gone-just being kept alive by machines.” The rumor spread through the room like wildfire.
Near the back, a man dressed in black pressed his earpiece and murmured, “The narrative’s taking hold. Prepare to extract.”
Just as the unrest peaked, a side door swung open.
Quentin walked in, looking vigorous and alert. His stride was steady, strong-no trace of sickness in his bearing.
